If this is the best John Hennessey can come up with to try and make up for or try to hide his dubious past, it falls well short in my opinion.
It ain't no Carrera GT and it certainly ain't no Veyron, not even sure where he thinks this will fit in the market.
And knowing Hennessey it will be supremely way over priced.
At what this will cost a Zonda or CCX will look like a bargain.
If you want to go through the pearly gates backwards on fire, this is the car for you. Rating 0

From the look of that, it's a 2.7 biturbo motor not a V8.

It's the 2.7lin the Esthi. i had a close look at the car at 60 yrs Lotus in Hethel. The owner is a nice chap.

I think the Venom with the 1000HP engine was made to get the PR.
I am pretty shure with the right amount of work on the suspension and a more sensible 400HP
NA V8 or a V6 it will be a nice package similar to that the Eshti. The Eshi has 400HP. Enough before it get's silly or into professional racing.

I think, he may target folks, who want a longitudinal engined Elise or Exige with more than 4 cylinders (sound), but no Evora.

Indeed that Venom GT will be lovely with a standard LS3 (430hp) or LS7 (500+hp) or the standard LS9 (630?hp)
To make it reliable and strong for the happy few.

But good to see they can make one with that hp and see how all works and hold, a nice test-case and show what they can make, if it holds, then it has a power reserve for the standard versions.

awesome in principle, just have this unavoidable feeling that not enough will have been spent on R&D and it'll be critically flawed in some respect.

It looks Great - BUT do Lotus know about it.

I'd be all over them with an Interlectual property writ for this.

They are basically using an Elise Mk11 and cutting and shutting and streching until the have something they can drop over there chassis. It is 100% in looks and Elise i.e. they should be going after this lot. UNLESS they have an agreement with them - which I VERY much doubt.

Forget the bad press about John Hennessey, take that fact away from it entirely and give your opinion on the car itself.

Thats pretty obvious, its a Venom. As for the Market, well there is a rather large amount of filthy rich fks who could care less about which market it falls into.

If I had the cash to own the likes of the Zonda or CCX i'd have a Venom as well. It looks fantastic and will probably be extremely fast, what else can you ask for.

Can you imagine taking delivery of one and it blowing up on your first outing?

I cant imagine the after sales service being too good .

And if you read those threads he has no remorse for his wrong doings whatsoever, and bearing in mind how many years law suits can go on for these people were out of pocket for a very long time - and may still be now.

Each to their own, but I would not sign a Cheque for what? £500k+ made out to a guy who has conned tens, if not hundreds of people out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, the attitude of "He hasnt done me any harm" is total non sense?
