Some of the comments on here are unbelievable. Wake up, the price of new cars has gone up substantially, and £25k list for a Leon of this spec is very reasonable IMO, especially given it will be less after discounts.

Hottest Seat ever??

Does anyone remember a Seat special back in the 90's. All I can remember is that it cost some ridiculous amount (40K), I can't for the life of me remember it's name and or find any pictures on it. Maybe I need to dig out all my old mags.....
Cupra GT?
No it wasn't that.
I'm pretty sure it was an Ibiza cupra something (sport?) and definitely a hatch. I'll get to the bottom of this.

You are correct. My sister-in-law was looking to buy a 118d. The list price is about £24K!!! I think the price is about right. Second hand values of cars in general also seem much higher that about a year ago

With options maybe. A hatchback 118d is under £20k, or £22k for the m sport.

i'm not keen on the styling of this car. I much preferred the previous model. but no doubt should be an excellent car. even better once the depreciation sets in!

Like those £20k plus Meganes, £25k is too much for this badge so it'll settle down to £12- £14k when nearly two years old - that's the time to strike.

that is one miserable looking car.. it has no flare. the old cupra's were brilliantly styled exactly like you would want a hot hatch but the only thing sporty about that is the exhaust

I really like it although i am slightly biased currently owning a mk1 Leon Cupra R. It might have slightly less BHP than expected but that lump will be hugely tuneable with its stronger internals than the current cupras and 300-360bhp will be easily and fairly cheaply available as it is with the lesser spec models. I do think that they could have gone a bit further with the exterior though and are they really white wheels? Id rather have the K1 kit and spec the twin exhausts. End of the day its similar to other hot hatch money, its a bit different and has that VAG group feel.

Not a fan of the looks compared to the LCR I used to have frown. Also this is too much £££.

A few years ago the SEATs were a good saving, had better kit and drove a lot better than the Golf GTI blobs of their era. Now they're pricing them too high and the Golf is better...the smart money must go on the Octavia VRS at the moment looking at the deals.

I couldn't agree more - it looks too beaky the golf or even scirocco would be better (built anyway) and I'd take the only slightly slower and massively cheaper Octavia vRS I'd also guess that parts on the Skoda will be much cheaper too if the old car is anything to go by

, never saw more than 25mpg over the cat and fiddle...

Odd thing is the dunlops are much better suited to this car than the bridgestones..

I thought this was going to be a thread about luxury heated car seats.

Not a keen fan on the new Leon Cupra. Loved the old one though.

It sits far too high and it just doesn't look sporty enough for my liking.

For a couple of hundred quid have it re-mapped to 270bhp. apparently there is going to be a Superb 4x4 vRS too? and the Fabia vRs will be in estate too?

Never have really liked the MK2 leon as looks too much like an MPV if you ask me. The MK1 LCR is still better looking.
There is so little difference between a FR, Cupra and LCR its madness for SEAT to just up the power and add a few trinkets to a cupra for that price.

Really is a shame as the old Leon was a performance bargain.

I've never really understood why people say the Leon looks like an MPV, are you sure your not confusing it with the Altea?

It does look taller than most other hatches, although I don't think it looks like an MPV. I'm not sure if it IS actually taller, or whether it just looks that way because of how it's proportioned, etc.

I think that gash thing down the side looks pants though

Totally agree!

The car in the OP looks very similar to me...

I quite like that SEAT do something different styling wise, but it doesn't do anything for me...
