Despite myself, I am really quite fond of these.
However, I hate the wheels - something like this is much better. Preferably with a big set of APs behind them if rumours about BMW M brakes are to believed...
LOL, each to their own, I love the wheels. Trying to convince myself that the 2k to get a set is worth it for my 6er. However, I hate the wheels - something like this is much better. Preferably with a big set of APs behind them if rumours about BMW M brakes are to believed...
Birds will do you a nice upgrade to AP brakes.
DMS will delimit it and add another 50hp.

Zzzzz... Long term test on an old model of car. All been done before. Can't you get something new?
We wanted to see what life is like with a V10, and whether the M6 can still cut it. I don't regret the choice here and I think running costs etc over the year might even help those considering taking advantage of the depreciation these things suffer on the used market.Clem64 said:
Oh how quick you all forget what those bds did to the British Car Manufacturing Industry (such as it was), here's a gentle hint, Cadburys and Kraft.
I still don't let BMW drivers out at junctions.
The same British Car Manufacturing Industry that churned out millions of sh*t cars with cr*p reliability over decades?I still don't let BMW drivers out at junctions.
Oh yeah, those b*stards!!!!

Bet you guys wanna pop over there and give it a go now -after a delimit of course
Great car,in my opinion the ugliness is part of the'brutal' appeal in fact about the only car to suit the matt-black wrap treatment. Good video but who needs an M6 when a little red Z4 seems to be glued to the back bumper at 194mph!

I was just wondering....
Presumably you don't pay for these machines (Garlick's impulse purchases aside) - if you do then I'm becoming a car journalist because the salary is clearly bonkers - do you have to pay for the petrol or do you get a petrol card? Is there some contribution from the manufacturer?
I'd just like a bit of disclosure as to how this all works, it's been bothering me for some time!
I would have thought even fuelling this monster would put some strain on most peoples finances!
Like most work use of cars, we'll pay for fuel for business use (so a journey specifically for a story) but not for other activity. If I actually sat down and worked out how much fuel I've put in various press cars over the years that can't be claimed back I'd probably be shocked, but I'm sure that Garlick, Pete, Chris and Riggers would agree with me when I say that I really don't care that much. Frankly, it is worth it.Presumably you don't pay for these machines (Garlick's impulse purchases aside) - if you do then I'm becoming a car journalist because the salary is clearly bonkers - do you have to pay for the petrol or do you get a petrol card? Having had both this and the V10 R8 in the space of a few days, I can confirm that V10s know how to get through the fuel, and at £1.30 a litre, it hurts!
