Re: hinges, joins etc

Its all about how much you pay. Pay peanuts - get a crap job.

Pay a decent company, and you get a great job. David Yu's Purplezilla GT-R has a wrap, and it goes right into the door aperture, bonnet etc. Cracking job but undoubtedly pricey.
i think he said it cost about the same as professional paint job but protects the paint and is removable
quite tempted to get carbon fibre vinyl wrap on my roof but need to find good wrapper up in scotland lol

You would need to at least tell the DVLA cos the next time you go past an APNR police car THEY will!
Why?

The police themselves don't check the details of every car that passes by an ANPR camera - only the ones with 'markers' on them, and I don't think the camera has the ability to do colour match checks.

This isnt brilliant advice Dave: the car hasnt changed colour. Adding colour changes to the vehicles history will cause a lot of questions/problems at sale time too.
The DVLA class them as a temporary colour change so they do not need to be notified.
This! Vinyl wraps don't need to be recorded. You may well be pulled a few times by ANPR depending on where you live and the amount of ANPR vehicles around but a quick show of the shut lines and you'd be on your way I imagine. Go for it smile

Wow so you can steal a car, or commit a crime in one, have it wrapped overnight, fakey plates and nobody will ever know! Sounds like a plan...

Indeed it was GC8, hence the reply starting with "This!" indicating that I was agreeing with you tongue out

Lucie: If you're that way inclined wink
