Saw this today in Alford;

I've met the lad who owns this on a few occasions. Hangs out with the guys from EastsideVW, an Aberdeen based VW club. real great bunch a guys and a really nice car... doesn't belong here!!
I'm sure he is but those wheels are truly terrible.
Seriously???

They are BBS RS's.

You are really caling those terrible??
I probably should have been clearer. It's the way it sits on the wheels because it has been lowered so much that's the real issue.

But still not a big fan of the wheels. Very 80s IMHO
I've seen this car a lot in Aberdeen. The guy works in Dyce IIRC.

I liked it when it was running the 'Cali-spec' bumpers, coilovers and BBS LMs. Now it looks a little silly IMO and appears to be all but undriveable.
still driveable. its on air ride. full interior re trim and full carbon fibre roof. stunning workmanship has gone into lomax's car

Each to their own I suppose, but I think air suspension is for huge 1970s pimp mobiles only. smile

I'd wager that a standard MKV would walk away from it on a spirited drive though, albeit I appreciate that's not what this car or Lomax is about.

Personally, I prefer to drive my cars and modify them to enhance their ability to cover ground, rather than alter their looks which are all too often subjective anyway.

My argument would be that the money he has spent on this car could have netted him something altogether 'cooler' than a MKV Golf.

IMO of course smile

Even the euro look stretch tyres, the over sized snow plough and arches and that shark nose?

Think what it could have been and you'll see, it is bad.
Just needs the wheels done.

Ive spotted these in Blackburn:

I think the owner lives in Huddersfield- lives with his parents and is in the Police? Anyway, hes been trying to sell it for a longtime from what I've heard (maybe did eventually)?

He should bloody well arrest himself, if that is the case! Crimes against eyesight.......

Love the questions...

Q: Hi, I have an old capri thats been sort of half heartedly been made to look a little bit like an aston martin V8 Vantage, if you squint. Are you interested in a part ex?
A: no sorry not my thing but thanks

Q: Hi does this car also have the Rolls Royce engine fitted?
A: hi, no it is the standard smart engine.

Q: Would you part ex for an xbox360?
A: No sorry

Mine was more a helpful comment than a question. I'll know when he's read it because I'll have an email from ebay regarding the closure of my account wink

Thats "Vanning" a 90s trend in Japan to take sh*tbox minivans look like the batmobile. By that scene's standards, that is an extremely conservative looking van.

So bonkers its cool.

It's a modified Datsun 240Z (awaits to be corrected that its a later model).

Here's one without the rhinoplasty

Not just one of the best looking cars to ever come out of Japan, but one of the best looking cars made period!
