The others definitely belong, but this is standard practice on cheap drift cars rather than buying a fancy diff. Everyone's got to start somewhere. biggrin

I would love to see what would happen if they tried to drive with it like that!

Exactly the same as it would if you drove a vehicle with a locked diff!

The other one with a welded crown gear though yikes

"the freshest and at the same time one of the most extreme aesthetic treatments the new-gen 86 has received."

Looks dangerous to me, and not in a good way! WTF is the point of all that exposed wheel? moar

Is the wheel exposed at the rear of the arch too?

You know what I hate about the GT86? The way the bodywork has paint on it, this kit would be perfect.

The latest upgrade on the 86 is to cut holes in the tyres so that air goes to the brakes, instant cooling. Works in conjunction with the exposed tyres.

I would love to see the mess that would happen if you were to drive that around a quarry road. Mmm, stones everywhere!

I'm not an expert on welding diff's, (although I know it's common practice.), but my first thought was, 'How are they going to get it back into the casing/axle?'

Whoosh parrot required for people can't spot a joke... that diff pic was an original response, long ago, to a naive 'how do I weld-up a diff?' query.

I have a lot of want for that GT86, it's how you imagine a serious GT2 category racer might look. Mmmmmm

Quite like the GT86 but those brakes look tiny.

I think even if it was the VTEC ,which is hard to tell from the pics, the drag from those mudflaps would negate any VTEC YO!.
