4,500 rpm redline?
"Yes m'lady - it's a diesel"
Why Bentley don't produce a Diesel is COMPLETELY beyond me. High Torque/Low revs is what these are all about, and what are diesels good at doing? "Yes m'lady - it's a diesel"
I really dislike the talk of smaller engines / quieter exhausts etc etc in the name of greenness but 16.7 mpg in todays climate?
To help you get a sense of proportion, eight times as many new cars were sold in China last year compared to the UK.

If people in these countries actually tried a diesel engined car they'd probably be very surprised- don't think its anything a hard marketing drive can't fix surely? I mean if they buy eight times as many cars as us thats an even smaller proportion of car buyers the car company has to win over to make it a viable option.
Do you think diesel cars would outsell petrol in the UK if fuel costs were not a big factor?

IMO this beats the Ghost hands down.
What! i though that proves that the ghost looks far better. Imo.And talk about bias, a pre production "spy shot" of the ghost, and a fully polished up picture of the mulsanne at the bentley stand.

Thats amazing- really puts thinks into perspective- doesn't this mean these countries really need to be doing more to tax fuel etc?
What are you smoking? If your unhappy petition that our taxes be lowered, don't complain that someone else is not being taxed enough. It's none of our business what they are taxed.

IMO the Ghost 'small' in comparison to the Bentley, just doesn't give as much of an impression of a super-luxury car. Now the Phantom is right up there, the Ghost not so.

Fair shots this time...
I like the way the Ghost has been pared back - understated design elements simplified and subtly expressed. Bentley too fussy and old fashioned...too bling for me. Edited by 911p on Thursday 6th May 23:17
Will give Bentley the nod for wing mirrors tho.
