On the right car........ I love white wheels!! Not on an Alfa 166 as I saw the other day... Bleurghhhhh!
In Wales they seem to be popular, the rallying connection I think....

......But they look best on a 106 Rallye (no bias at all)

I would however eat my own feet for a Focus RS, I blagged a test drive in one and was suitably impressed!

They look a bit naff but no where near as bad as the black on the original orange RS.

I can't help but feel that Ford had a sneaky little laugh when they chose the wheels for the RS.

The wheels are a bugger to clean - anyone who suffers from sore index fingers after trying to get the brake dust out of the 160 corners beside the spokes will know what I mean!

Time for a set of 5 spokes I think!

500 for a set of 19" alloys from a main dealer?

That sounds cheap doesn't it?

Without tyres of course!
Sounds fking expensive when Lepsons will only charge half that .... Money for old rope!

"The demand for Focus RS has been astounding. In barely a year since launch, we have sold almost our entire UK allocation..."
Translation: Demand has actually been rather tepid and we haven't sold quite as many as we'd hoped and so now we're trying some pathetically desperate measures to try and shift the last of the damn things without actually spending any more money so we've raided the stationary cupboard for all the whiteout we could find and painted up some wheels.

If there are still some left by next tuesday then we'll break out the most desperate of measures and create a pathetic limited edition distinguished mainly by vinyl stickers proclaiming that it's a special edition written in comic sans or some other cheesy font and maybe some free floor mats or something.

ahh

the way i read the advert was that it was for a set of alloy wheels, buying seperate to the car. Not just a refurb...

You guys clearly need to have a look around some other countys in England, narrow minded fools.
Wondered how long it would be before we got one of these - please think of it as gentle teasing rather than a genuine attack (with any truth in it).

Besides - I'm an Essex Boy myself, born and raised in Ilford and Epping, so I think we could call it self deprecation? wink
I'd have expected better from an Essex boy. It's sarfend! wink

The white wheels don't really make a lot of difference to the overall look of the car if we are being honest.

It's hardly a exemplar of restraint as standard!

Owners shouldn't take this as criticism by the way, in a previous life I owned a white Focus ST with blue stripes...

I like them, would be tempted. Always had a soft spot for white alloys.
Compliments the car rather well I say. smile

More likely an upgrade option.

IMO they look ste.
very smart but mine were buckled and dented so bad over the winter I change for some Motor sport jobbies, even the Ford dealer told Ford alloys were made of soft alloy, so a set for 500 about what their worth

Ilford is in Greater London but still has Essex postcodes, Epping is 100% Essex.

So that's why you put it. You're from an area of Essex that pretends to be from London "init". losertongue out

The white alloys have been an option in mainland Europe dealers for months on the RS. They seem to have more options on their cars.
The white wheels only look good on the blue RS.Not really a fan of white wheels.

so you could just take these to a refurbist and save yourself £250 if you actyually wanted white wheels...
That's kind of misunderstanding the whole ethos of a large section of the Fast Ford crowd isn't it? Many owners (and future buyers) will want proof that they were white from the factory.
