Don't mistake wheeler dealers for a fly-on-the-wall documentary! It's another entertainment show, mike and ed probably just do whatever they're told to on camera.

Blimey, a lot of hate for Mr Brewer!
I have to say I dont mind him, he loves his cars like we all do and whilst being a but cheesy makes it entertaining. Compare him to that fat bloke (Jason something) off that used car road show horror program.....
What more would people have him do on Wheeler Dealers? Ed is the Mechanic, Mike sources parts and buys / flogs the car, he isnt going to get his hands dirty - thats not his role and he clearly knows little about it all.
Funny that people question the logic of the show "oh, but if you include Ed's labour" - its a TV show, for entertainment - they are not claiming to be a business lol
Lighten up all the haters - he is just a podgy faced mockney petrol head, who makes entertaining TV shows for Sunday afternoons - would rather have his shows on tv, than not.

I dont get all the hate either, its entertainment, they have some great cars on the show and Ed does do an excellent job on them. I reckon Mike has his tongue firmly in cheek with all his salesman patter, would be a bit boring if it were like real life ie a dealer buys a s tter, doesnt do anything to it and then tries to flog it on for twice its worth

Jason Dawes - the motoring journalist that knows absolutely f k all! Mike Brewer I can tolerate, yeah fair enough he can't haggle worth s t and him labelling every single heap of turd that he buys as a "classic mowta" is a little irksome.....but Jason Dawes is the biggest (literally) waste of space, piss, wind, s t and oxygen known to man. He's endlessly spouting tech facts on cars that are usually completely wrong, his valuations are usually shakey at best, his negotiation with the dealers is piss poor and he's sodding annoying

Yeah, it is cheesy but I like to see the transformations. I just wouldn't want Brewer as my accountant. And he and Ed have both got porky, haven't they?

He makes Wheeler Dealers a great show. Without him it'd be like Top Gear with no Clarkson = boring. He and Ed make a great pair. Please don't knock one of my favorite TV shows - it's a little ray of light in a sea of unwatchable s t on TV these days.

He's a bit of a caricature but still entertaining. Latest Wheeler Dealers is some of the best petrolhead telly around - 8 series, Jensen etc.

It looks just like a dealer! Surely he must e right on the button? And then there's the delectable Penny Mallory... hubba hubba Truly the Rolls Royce of TV car shows.

The likes of Wheeler Dealer are quite amusing and Ed knows his stuff and in the midst of it all you do sometimes learn a little. Mike's just the Pantomime salesman on the show with the "alright my son? Lovely Jubbley" school of car sales.

He's not the worst on TV by far - Used Car Roadshow ... the jolly fat man let loose with a big crayon. He can hardly string 5 words together without running out of breath.
Mike is at least cheerful in a sort of 'McDonalds double muffin breakfast & coffee' high. I would like to see him apply his smooth, expert trader skills in negotiating with some local main franchise dealers. Go in (on behalf of a member of the public looking for a change of wheels) with his mockney geezerness & 'bag of sand' attitude and let's see if he can negotiate even an air freshener from the usual rottweiler sale lackeys.

I used to deliver mail to his old house. It had a very large, secure looking garage. That is my useless fact of the day.

Some people on here really want to lighten up a little! It's a entertainment programme and that's what it does... Entertains. If you want something serious watch the news.

I find him quite entertaining and he doesn't take himself too seriously.
If you meet him, hide your pies.
