Unfortunate location, might only have been a damaged wheel elsewhere.
If that flower bed, (I think) hadn't been there then it may have ended up hitting the pedestrians - so probably best outcome.

Seems to be a spate of people thinking that cold, damp roads in built up areas are just the place to prod the throttle!

I wonder if there was oil on the road where he lost it? Definitely some in the bottom right of the first cctv angle.

If there was, would have been spread just before Mr. Leadfoot appeared. Easy to tell, if the CCTV were to be checked.

Only watched it once looks like hit the cycle rack hoops then the end of the brickwork of the flower bed. I imagine the council charge for the replacement cycle hoops and brickwork will be more than the car repair

Good shout, will be easy for someone who can be bothered to find the sauce of that spill. No doubt they won't though and blame the driver entirely for that...

Looked like it on the video. What appeared to be carbon skirts.
Notice how the pedestrians didn't go over to help, just carried on.

Standard spider albeit barried up here and there. You can tell it's a normal spider, the nostrils are rounded rather than squared off. Still an expensive day out though.

In fairness it doesn't look like the driver of that 430 was taking the piss.

I'm pretty sure I said this further back but I'll repeat myself; my old man had a 430 Spider and I nearly span it doing about 20-25mph going into the Reigate one-way system in the cold and wet with the manettino in wet weather mode.

I wasn't showboating or pissing about, I was just carefully bringing it back from a service and was driving around a gentle curve on a steady part throttle following a line of traffic.

They can be very pointy when the tyres aren't up to temp and the stability control is cack on them. It's easily done if you're not expecting it and don't have the experience to catch it.

Apparently the ferrari driver was a completely innocent party and it was the Merc driver going hell for leather and snagging into it
