Not suprised.

Not only do you stuff her new Porsche but then you buy her a Volvo to replace it.

If I were her I'd have felt justified in not only passing you the divorce papers for bending my new car but also would have delt a swift kick to the nuts for the replacement hehe

Ouch!

What happened? Thats a fair impact it looks to have taken?

Hope everyone was ok? Especially the kids?

Had a dozy woman drive straight at me on a single track lane. She was looking over her shoulder screaming at her brats in the back seat, while driving forward obliviously at about 40 mph.

I had to drive up a steep grass bank to my left to avoid a head on, which was so steep the car ended up on it's side.

Insurance and Bib found in my favour.

When I first started driving I thought everyone got their MOT by calling up, giving the number plate and the mileage and then waiting for it to come through in the post without going to the garage. wink

Everyone is fine now thanks.
I was unconscious for about 30 minutes. Wife was knocked around and bruised. My daughter who was sat in the rear near side was fine other than being very upset. But my Son who was sat in what used to be the rear offside had to be air lifted to hospital. Thankfully he pulled through and if fine now, but he was out cold for a few days. The impact was an estimated 60 mph. I was sitting at the back of a traffic jam and the approaching driver (VW Passat) didn't see the back of the queue. I guess his attention was probably diverted elsewhere but we never found out.
The only good thing to come from all this, is the sizeable compensation sitting in a child trust fund!
lesson learned - I always approach stationary traffic slowly and consciously bring the vehicles behind into a controlled stop. I always watch them approach and give myself an escape route. I knew the guy was going to hit us but I didn't leave enough room to get out of the way frown

Probably the most scary crash pics I've seen (not involving fatalities or serious injuries). Nothing to do with me, but it was a single car incident with only the driver - who amazingly walked away.

Sickening story with the kids, you can't always prevent someone hitting you and like you say nice nest egg for the kids as some small silver lining. Glad you were all ok must have been a terrible time.

Wasn't me honest!

Sainsburys HGV driven by a lying tt crunched into the rear quarter trying to move into my lane, I must have been in his blind spot.

He tried to tell the insurance company I turned into his rear left quarter...luckily his own stupidity let down his story.

You should see what happened to the courtesy SL55 they lent me 2 weeks after this, pile up on dual carriageway - rear ended by a car doing about 60mph!

What happened to this? Vandalism or just a straight forward prang?
