The Garden Ring (Moscow's inner ring road featured heavily in those clips) is a scary, scary place if you're a nervous driver - five or more lanes of traffic in either direction with no central reservation...and I spent several years doing it in an RHD UK-registered car!
Quite liberating if you aren't a nervy driver though - "making progress" becomes quite an art form and when you get back to the UK, you have to remember not to drive "Russian-style", which is rather tedious!

The thing in Russia is that it seemed to me that the faster you drove (within vague reason) on the Garden Ring, the less likely you were to be stopped by the police. If you drive carefully and slowly they will pull you almost instantly on suspicion of being drunk!!
