looks nice, but i remember seeing a mock somewhere at a show, glass roof line was lovely, but somehow looks dated with roundish lines...

still would great if they update and build it.

The last two cars they have knocked out have been fuging ugly, so I don't hold out much hope
You cany be real, Jag make sexy cars. Fact!
Being a Porsche driver I do not think you are best placed to comment automotive aesthetics - have you seen the Panamera???

The Cayman is the best looking Porsche, but only because the others are so frigging ugly.
I love the XK. It's just the XF and XJ that I find fat, ugly and awkward looking.

(ps. I like the Panamera!!!!)
So peaks a man who considers an Audi S5 convertible diesel to be an acceptable means of transport, in George Michael White as well

FFS Frank get a grip man, first you like that hideous Porsche four door thing, now you don’t like the latest King-size Fags. Frank I surrender I really do, I expect to see you driving an electric Honda the next time we meet?

With some S-Line stickers attached just to make you feel at home with no doubt Careless Whisper oozing from the stereo

I think the latest Jaguar model range is spot on, very current and all very good looking. I drive a Jaguar X300 (probably the best looking exec saloon ever!), but Jaguar had to move on and they have done a good job, let's face it, they are selling very well at the moment. They will make this new model work, and it will be stunning,no doubt about it.

Just imagine if Jag could produce a car that looks this good, weighed in at 1250kg using their aluminium expertise, with a 280bhp n/a 3.0 straight-six up front, Mike Cross developed handling, and starting off at £30k...

I'd order one tomorrow cloud9

Be assured there is more chance of me voting Green that ever owning that abomination of a car, a truly horrendous device that surely can only ever be bought by somebody is nothing short of bedazzled and bamboozled by the badge.

In the context of this thread just exactly what does that overweight lummox have that the XFR doesn’t?

Jag are right back on track and with a bit of help they might even bin those awful Halfords exhaust tips that can be found on an XF, the new XJ look a treat two weeks ago at the FOS I thought?

Ah, nice to read that!
I agree that the Cayman is probably the only not-too-bad looking Porsche.

You have to choose between:
- an antique sort of Morgan-historied coupé, that makes a ghastly rattle noise, absolutely not sporting; a bit like large Schuco wind-up toy) ;
- the Cayman which somehow looks better than all the other Porsches;
- the dull soap-shaped Boxter;
- the vulgar bloated Panamera! I really thought Porsche was as last going to make a super car, but (as they said in TopGear) one would prefer having trouble with a Maserati or an Aston, rather than being seen in a Panamera!

A Straight six is a pipe dream these days, but an "F-type" looking thing with a good V6 would be ace.

I'm troubled about where the little V6 would come from though, would it be a newer Duratec V6 (as in the X-Type ), something else bought from Ford or PSA, or a homegrown Jaguar motor ?

A troubling question, Jag isn't a big player these days and will have to pick and choose its motors a la Lotus...

What do you think ?

Pretty but isn't it also everything that was bad, old fashioned, and derivative about Jaguar in the 90s? So glad they have moved on.

Why don't Jag just make a replacement for the market to fill the hole forever left by a car with a design council award (as the e type was)and loved by most,........ the TVR GRIFFITH

It'd be even better if TVR did that! And the Jag? Take away those ears, and it would be stunning.

ok, so I love the first XK (first "fast" car I've ever driven in -> 4L XK8), I like the second one, like the XF, love the new XJ, but I seem to be the only one that doesn't really like this :/

You forgot the most important porker for sport car enthusiasts:

Some say it's a box on wheels. Some say it's heavy like pot whale.

All I know: It's called the Cayenne!

Back to topic:
Except of the bunny ears it is a good looking car. Even the frameless window could be working (Spyker has also frameless windows). I hardly see it on sale at 30k-ish. But if so, they can sell shiploads.

This design doesn't fit with the new design language. Expect something much different.
