I picked something up yesterday for the 458's performance figures - not sure how reliable the figures are as they are from somewhere I hadn't heard of (Quattroroute), but they are pretty astonishing...

Weight: 1533 kg
Top speed: 328 km/h
0-100 km/h in 3,3 s
0-160 km/h in 6,5 s
0-200 km/h in 9,7 s
0-250 km/h in 16,0 s (Enzo: 16,1 s)
400 m: 11,0 s (213 km/h)
1 km: 19,8 s (270 km/h)

0-100mph in 6.5s... a Macca F1 was only 6.3.

Jesus, that must be exciting.
Exciting is not the word I would use. Bloody scary more like.

Really love this car. Just wish it was 100K less.
Me too, wish is was £ 159k less...

Epic. Just epic.

I want one purely to scare myself silly.

Who cares about the bonnet, you'd be looking out the sidewindows 99% of the time anyway wink

A shed load of money for a 911 but a shed load of performance for the money.

I wonder how it compares to the new Noble M600, that is also silly money for silly performance.

If it were my money, I would shop closer to home, Ultima GTR would cover all bases on track better and more stylishly, and leave you change (about £100k) to buy something to go to the shops in.
I know it'a all subjective....but, the Ultima is many (good) things. Stylish ain't one of them!

Most of it will be from launch plus lightning gear changes?. Shoot me down if the 458 doesnt have a launch facility. i dont like the speed of the changes, its to fast, i love the 355s changes with a capristo, such a big part of the noise, i dont see why dsg has to sound like an auto.

wasn't a new GT2 like 133k list? - so all those used GT2 for 100k comparisons are a bit off ...

lucky so and so. spoke to my local OPC who said they were sold out virtually as soon as car was announced. Think I'd have one of these if i ever lay my hands on the dosh and one come sup for sale. In fact i'll buy yours when you're bored with it as black sounds wonderful!biggrin

Amazing car so much torque at so little revs plus massive power to end. Lovely.

Thing is real roads isn't a 911 turbo far too fast to even get close to it's limits within speed limits. I mean you may have more fun in a 100bhp buzzy warm hatch pushing it hard vs tickling a super car.

Probably a great car, but that black bonnet just looks utter crap IMO. As in it looks like it's been stacked and only part fixed. Unforgivable.

hehe

Seriously though, unforgivable? Steady on old chap! It doesn't look that bad! And as that sweet Simca Rallye shows, it's historic, innit?

if this porsche can do 0-100mph in 6.8 secs, an ultima gtr 720 must be mind boggling quick with 5.3 secs.

Ah yes, Walter, 1981, 935. One of the races I remember best seeing him exit the chicane sideways in a long drift lap after lap, fantastic driving of the highest order!

It's no Nissan mind.hehe
