as the guy said above penis extension, the majority of other road users will look and think the same

fine i you like over priced carsd like this , where can you go over 150mph anyway we dont all have private roads long enough or live near an autobahn

when i said the legacy does all you need, i meant carries 5 in comfort, sure footed with awd, excellent spec with all the extras merc and bmw charge for included, and in spec b the ability to shake off most so called performance cars

we are all entitled to our opinions and your opinion is not wrong, seeing the world through someone elses eyes is a quality some dont have

i understand why someone would hanker after this merc, a show off and look at me person, im not that person hence the subaru

this car, you have you opinions and thats mine, i cannot see the point of a car with this size engine and gross styling, it just shows a lack of thought in choice of car,

i drive a subaru legacy b spec 3litre which will probably make you squirm but it does everything anyone could want, and its subtle not vulgar

Er? Are you looking at the same article as me?
He's wandered in from LentilMunchingCyclistHeads.com
Does it get to 60, real quick, then to 100, then to 150 and beyond with a V8 soundtrack while still remaining supremely comfortable for a 6'5"er?
Nope thought not. That's not everything then is it?

[why would you think a guy would buy a s63amg to say look at me when he could get many other cars that say look at me ie lambo, ferrari, rolls royce which he probably does own if he has a s63amg this car is about discreet comfort for himself and his family on long distances.
as you said seeing the world through someone elses eyes is a gift that you dont have if you did you would know what kind of people buy this car.also i dont think suburus do massageing hot and cold seats yet.

What does that actually mean?

You think going WOT in 1st gear is going to feel 'gentle'?

Gumsie, do you drive at 150? Even at 100?????

Cars like this are bought as penis extensions, which in and of itself is fine, but its idiotic because hardly no one in the general public knows what "S63" and "AMG" mean anyway so they don't even fulfill the role.

My dad has a current gen S500, and while I would have enjoyed driving an S63 if he bought one, for his purposes (he is 62) it woiuld have been absolutely pointless.

My neighbor recently bought an Aston DBS, previously had an SL65, and I coudln't resist slating him for his prev purchase of the SL65. To which he protested "no the SL was quite nice actually" - erm actually mate no it wasn't because you drove it like an SL350!
do you think a guy who buys this car gives a toss about what people think a s63 is.
as for penis extentions go thats good coming from someone whos dad has a s500 that he could of got away with a s350.

1. Place body in uber-comfortable cockpit with every mod con you could possibly want.
2. Pull away at lesiure, with only the merest hint of the engine running thanks to the double glazing.
3. Set nav for favourite French getaway (or even to the family in Swindon!)
4. Join motorway.
5. Be cossetted by ride regardless of speed - even at 4000rpm when the big V12 really kicks in.
6. Get out of car hours and hours later as fresh as when you got in the car and with a smile as wide as a canyon on your face.
7. Quietly acknowledge to yourself that yes, buying the car (even just for use on weekends) was an epic decision on your part.
8. Return home after visit feeling glad you didn't try and shoehorn yourself into the 3 litre diesel. Sure, it may have cost you a few quid in petrol, but damn it I don't eat lentils!
9. Repeat and enjoy ad nauseum (seeing as we're bring out the Latin!)
10. Scour the classifieds for 760Li's, S63's, S8's to replace current pride and joy once the time comes.

I must have a micropenis(*) then because I would love one of these mega-uber-barges so much I'd probably get arrested for some kind of strange man-autombile sexual perversion thing.

It's not about driving something to the limit all the time or whether whatever it is that you're driving is fast enough for what you need or even whether it meets some arbitrary "spec". It's the feeling of being in something so big and luxurious whilst at the same time having more power available under your right foot than you can ever reasonably want to apply to the road...

Me want - who do I need to blow to get one! hehe

(*) unlikley given some of the quotes from recent ladyfriends.
