The XJ220 Transit always comes up on sleeper threads. Saw the thing in the flesh at Goodwood a few years ago. Fairly quick as I recall.

Got in the top 10 this year, under a minute I think.

I knew someone with a Corsa B with a 2 litre turbo in it. Thing was too fast for it's suspension though.

From my experience driving corsa b's, they don't have the most complex suspension set up, and there's only so much power that thing can deal with... Would of been faster without the turbo.

A guy further up the road from me has an Audi S6 Avant. I thought they had a 4.2 V8 engine, but it's the 5.2 V10!

Besides two small badges and big wheels, it looks pretty much like the standard 2.0tdi A6 Avant. Proper factory sleeper IMO.

Talon Metro

Put the alloys off a Metro GTA off it and that would be proper sleeper. One day hehe

I keep looking at those. I know it's a lot of car for £3.5k, as it's fully track prepped - but it's a lot of money for a Metro.

I'd still love to be able to justify one, though.

There was a tomcat turbo engined Metro in Aldershot/Fleet a couple of years ago standard interior plus a beaded seat cover, the owner did it all himself.
Had a hell of a shock when i got passed by it on the BVR and when i caught up at a petrol station we got talking. Superb sleepers.

Was down at the beach the other night (having a cruise, yes yes.) and was behind a mk1 Focus RS, and a Corsa 1.2 side by side (well, I thought it was a 1.2...)

That was until this corsa shot from around 20mph upto what must have been over 50 in a blink of an eye.

I hate corsas with severe brutality, but I loved it. Had bog standard bodykit on it & wheels, and a normal exhaust! Only give away was the dump valve noise!

It has been mentioned on here before. I have just caught up with it and that is going to be a beast, really hope it gets finished before the end of the year.
