This makes me feel really happy.

Great to hear a proper PHer winning something like this rather than someone who'll just flog it next week and buy a S-Max and a couple of weeks on Elevenareef.

How many tickets did you buy, what was your overall outlay before winning etc. I bought one ticket once and never won. never again. wink

bugga - reading this has just made me sign up and play some tickets - fingers crossed for a nice shiny birthday present!!! (more likely an empty bank account!)

looking at the sportscar competition - range of cars like a boxster S or £25 grand - why would you take the 25 grand cash when you could get the boxster, run it for 6 mths and still sell for more than that? or am I just being daft?

If you couldn't afford to run a porsche boxter than you'd have to take the money really. Dunno why you'd enter in the first place if you didn't intend to keep the car though!

Base spec car means you'll need to spend cash on it to make it resaleable. OR in my case we took an Ex Demo with lots of toys for similar money.

Running the car over a year WILL cost money.

People's circumstances change... My wife was employed fulltime when I bought the ticket. Now she's a fulltime mum again due to redundancy. The money was tempting.

What is brilliant is that someone who will appreciate it has won it. So often, we pistonheads lose out to some indifferent dole fodder who got lucky (thank you, more gross generalisations are available)

Really chuffed for you, it has obviously made your year and great to see an enthusiast pick one up.

Well done that man and happy motoring

Come on guys ??? you do realise this is just an advertising scam to sell tickets surely? ur not that daft i hope?

No one really wins these cars, just planted people who work for BOTB and get paid a few hundred quid for making out they won.... oldest trick in the scam book, i'm amazed they still get away with it !!

So I suppose the competition commissions or any other form of regulatory body are turning a blind eye to their massive public presence too?
