I've won something pretty amazing online
Discussion
I'm really pleased for you. Good to see a PH win a good car like that. Normally when I see the winner of that sort of competition, or even something more mundane like the 5th gear 2nd hand car ones, there's always the feeling that it's a performance car wasted. They'll trundle around at 20mph showing of. Hopefully you'll drive it more as intended!
Well done that man. As someone who regularly drops a wad with these guys I have to say I am happy for you.
Can I ask a quick couple of questions? Why did you not go for the more exotic offerings they tend to have like the Ferrari's or Lambo's etc or did the Porker come with an additional cash lump sum?
Also do they still cover you for up to £6K on the first year’s insurance?

This is the Sportscar competition so a cayman/boxster/Exige is top budget. Can I ask a quick couple of questions? Why did you not go for the more exotic offerings they tend to have like the Ferrari's or Lambo's etc or did the Porker come with an additional cash lump sum?

They still cover 6k on the supercars but nothing on the sportscar competition.

After all these years of entering competitions online I finally won something!
Yay Me!
Well done, I've played about 5 times in total and had a "you were close" once and got a discount code, but thought it'd turn in to a never ending case of goodbye £20 every month so stopped. I guess someone will win each month though as you've shown.Yay Me!
Enjoy
Have to say I've been really overwhelmed with how nice people have been about my good fortune. I honestly expected one or two trolls to come along and put a dampener on things but I've been totally disproved and I'm really glad to say that.
On here, Seloc, Facebook and Twitter all I've had is really positive messages and I just wanted to say thank you to all of you!
More car news in the next day or so. I've chosen a car but I'm waiting for confirmation from the dealer...

Congrats, awesome prize
How do you go about choosing the spec? Do you get a budget?
You win a 'base spec' model of any of the cars listed on the site. You can then put cash towards options. How do you go about choosing the spec? Do you get a budget?
I've chosen a VAT qualifying ex management car from Porsche which BOTB are contributing the base cost of a cayman towards. More details tomorrow

I've already booked a day of training in it then maybe a trackday in September.stew-S160 said:
Congrat Alun, you're the first I've heard of winning such a competition. Have you considered selling it and getting a new Exige or a tuned S1 Exige? That would probably what I would do if I won.
I've owned 6 Elise derivatives. I wouldn't swap this for one until I've owned it for a while and made my own mind up.Most Elises do little for me these days I'm afraid especially as I need them to be both everyday and track usage. S1 Exige is lovely but day to day would be a ballache.
