Wasn't his Enzo supposed to be the highest mileage example anywhere in the world as well?
yes
At how many miles, just as a matter of interest?
I'm sure I remember reading 30k miles somewhere.

You've got to respect the guy,
He's got the money to buy the car but also indstead of crashing it and just buying another, he's rebuilt it to be bigger and better than before (in a straight line anyway).
That's a proper Piston head thumbup

That's fab, nice to see written of vehicles being recycled to live on another day- I just wish more people did it over here (though I doubt a binned Saxo turned into a track car would have the same appeal).

Those wheels remind me of the odd aero caps that Audi put over the BBS wheels on their IMSA racers.

Good luck to him! I thought a few folks on here might have been decrying the fact he'd turned circuit biased car into a straight line machine. Can see why he's doing it though, he could have a good go at having the world's fastest ever Ferrari (Or have I forgotten about a really obvious one?)

But wasn't the wrecked Enzo, a rare Targa version?

He's even put a small lugage rack on the back for his hold-all. He's thought of everything.

Fine work sir and good luck.

I have a lot of time for this guy. He walked away from that crash and thought to himself;

"I'll rebuild the car faster and then Vmax it again, but this time not on tarmac"

Brilliant.

Excellent. Am I the only one who prefers that new nose over the original? I'm almost seeing Testarossa though that maybe due to the side skirts or maybe the drink.

I can't see how any of this is sacrilege. Yes its an expensive limited (ish) run car but it is just that - a car and one made faster. If it were of some historical significance and utterly priceless then maybe.

I really, really must drive Bonneville at some point in my life!

When I look at the pics of the Enzo after it was crashed you can see that the engine has been ripped from the car and its gearbox. The back of the engine must have been wrecked in that case. This then makes me think that they must have used a new block in the Bonneville car, can anyone confirm or denies this please.

Great use of an Enzo by the way, and any car that carries a parachute gets an extra 100 coolness points

Some parts were retained, one cool touch is that the Orange paint on the valve covers here is the orange marker paint from the crash investigators......

How do you make a targa version with those doors?

Not saying it didn't exist but I am intrigued to see how it was done

Bought a second pair of doors and had them cut down!

He should never be allowed near any car of significant rarity or value after crashing an Enzo already, and to modify it is cringeworthy.

Cheers, actually probably easier with that car the a normal looking at the way he's done it.

Why is that? To take a great car, save it from the scrap heap and then make it better than it was.....what is bad about that??
