Bentley badge on a Chrysler 300C!

Wasn't there a show on CH4 a few months ago (Wife Swap or How the Other Half Life) in which it was quoted the 'rich couple' had a Bentley (even zooming in on the Bentley badge) when it was obviously a badged up 300C.

I actually like 300cs, but saw one of these absurd badged ones in a petrol station a few weeks ago, the owners wife (sat in passenger seat) did indeed see me double take the badge, start shaking my head and laughing, then get in to my car and point it out to my 2 passengers who also laughed.

I've never seen someone sink so low in a seat!

There is a firm that possibly still does but at least did have funeral 300c's badged as Bentley's including the hearse.
The metalwork down the side probably isn't something Bentley would be proud of.

I've seen many over the years, i just feel genuinely sorry for the person who's put it there and thought;
a) It looks good.
b) It's at all a good idea.

This is something i get majorly pissed off about myself, aswell, then i decided to do a little experiment with a couple of non-car friends, fueled by my disaprovement of this rebaging. When seeing a 300c coming down the road (still not close enough to see the badge) a quickly asked a friend what make of car is this coming towards us...
The majority of the time they have answered "IS IT A BENTLEY? "

Are these badges not a dealer fit optional extra? I'd say the majority of 300C's I have seen do have the B badges, I find it hard to believe so many peope have gone out and had the stock badges altered.

It's not just the badge, it's the front grille as well.
The standard Chrysler grille looks completely different.

I believe that it's done at the dealers too, as an extra. Not sure why they decided to do it though.

Seen this several times on different 300Cs.

Surely a used Turbo R is cheaper than a newish 300C? Okay the running costs won't be, but if it really means that much to you...

As mentioned above I'd consider it to be similar to, but even worse than sticking M badges all over a slightly manky old BMW 316i.

IMHO a lot worse than sticking M Badges on a non-M BMW, ok its a bit pathetic but at least its the same manufacturer.

I don't get why some of you guys have such a big downer on the 300C, it is what it is and the Guys that stick the Bentley badge on are surely just taking the mickey out of Bentley owners who have spent large amounts of money to get the "Charlie Cream Slice" experience when all they needed to do was buy a 300C for a fraction of the cost.

After countless people mistake your 300C for a Bentley it seems the only option.......Lighten up and have a giggle.

I'm guessing some of you chaps need to take a look in your own garages.
