I don't get why some of you guys have such a big downer on the 300C, it is what it is and the Guys that stick the Bentley badge on are surely just taking the mickey out of Bentley owners who have spent large amounts of money to get the "Charlie Cream Slice" experience when all they needed to do was buy a 300C for a fraction of the cost.

After countless people mistake your 300C for a Bentley it seems the only option.......Lighten up and have a giggle.

I'm guessing some of you chaps need to take a look in your own garages.
Really, so you can get the 'Bentley experience' in a Chrysler 300c? laugh
Absolutely yes in terms of the seeking attention which most are.

Indeed, i guess the GT has become the WAGs favourite, but surely an Arnage or the proper Bentleys cant compare to a Chrysler.

Are Bentleys not just VW Phaetons in drag anyway?

No in real terms of course they can't compare but if placing a Bentley badge on their 300 gives them the feel good factor and they own their own piece of cream slice then good luck to them.

The main point of my post is that some people have the cheek to criticise and ridicule these people for what I'm sure is just a bit of pi$$ take fun.

Not only that but some guys on here that have stereo-typed the owners don't even own a car let alone a 300C which is in fact a good car built on a MB platform and running gear. You pay your money you take your choice and a 300C is cracking value and has presence.

Maybe so, I assumed, maybe wrongly, that badging up a Chrysler as a Bentley comes down to a 'Im considerably richer than yooou (in a Fast Show Stylee)and go to so much effort to make the average person think '....ooooh they have a Bentley'.

Each to their own but....laughlaughlaugh

Kind of I think, but only the Flying Spur and Continental GT.
(Happy to be corrected though)

Chrysler Bentley Brabus, oh dear....

Surprised it doesn't have a Prada badge on as well.
I think the plate is trying to imply it's been breathed on by Khan too.

A carcophony of bad taste!

The tradgedy here is, the people who don't know cars won't have a clue what the badges mean & the people who do know about cars will think your a weapons grade tosser. scratchchin So there's no point from all angles.

Brabus does tune the 300C but under STARTECH. That car could possibly be a startech car which is pretty much a brabus with another name and the owner decided on putting brabus instead. Just like merc owners who badge their cars as AMGs (i.e S55, E63, C63) when all they have done is fool people on the outside, or BMW guys who do worse and turn their German cars into rice rockets, that guy is no different.

Yeah, it's really a Startech whatever and it still has a Bentley badge. Pigs etc.

Not sure if this has been posted before.

Anyone also seen the previous 300c? Nothing like this one, didn't even know they existed.

As the owner of one, I would naturally beg to differ. Chrysler have sold rather a lot of them and it is unquestionably popular in it's home market - though perhaps a little less so in Europe. I suspect your view is not widely held.

Mine has lots and lots of performance and is also composed, roomy and comfortable. I would not consider either a deisel or a V6 version, but the 8 cyl cars can hold their own in class very admirably. The 5.7 has MDS too, which means it's also reasonably frugal when called for.

Why anyone would want to try to kid others that their 300C was something other than a 300C is beyond me. On the rare occasions where I get goaded into proving a point, I just let my right boot do the talking.

I always thought the 300c was just a last generation Merc E-class with some S-class suspension bits and a like it or hate it bodyshell.

Wouldnt mind a 5.7 or 6.1 v8 one.

Not sure if there are many other Mercedes based models in the US car industry.

Its a nice car, especially the SRT model but putting Bentley badges on it is just tragic, it isnt tongue in cheek it is desgined to fool people into thinking it is something more expensive than it is, it will fool those who wear bobble hats and keep minibus windows spotless but anyone else thinks you are a knobhead with delusions of grandure.

I dont know what it is about the poor old 300C that attacts anky Lio conversion, Lambo Doors and Bentley fantasies.

Thing is, even if it fooled people on here, tey would only slag it for being a footballers Bentley.

So, to some up, nice enough motor, dont try to big it up as it doesnt need it.
