Sorry to resurrect but I just saw a Chrysler with a Bentley logo front and back...... and BRABUS written across the back, incorrectly spaced. A Brabus-Bentley-Chrysler.

I don't know what to think. Wish I took a photo. Has anyone else spotted this monstrosity? It was around Paddock Wood, Kent.

Similar to the one posted earlier but in black. https://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab200/Dick_Pha...

I thought this was a forum for people who knew about cars, Brabus are badged on Mercedes products around the world, including Smart Car. Similar to AMG which does not stand for After Market Garbage, any more than the "B" for Brabus in a different font means Bentley. What's wrong with you people do you think GTi means Got Turbo inside ,, Its a company logo nothing more.

Please click this link for the BRABUS logo not the Bentley logo.

On Saturday I just had to park next to the 300c with Bentley badges - but which is which?

There's more than a little badge snobbery going on here. I am a Jaguar fan and have owned several Jags both daily drivers and classics such as a 60s S-type an XJ-S and a Daimler V8 250.
But guess what, I also have a Mitsuoka Viewt which is a little 1.4 litre mini-me Mk 2 lookalike. It's fun, it's economical and I love it...and why not?

But have you stuck a Bentley badge on it?

I certainly haven't..but I HAVE stuck a Jaguar leaper on top of the bonnet! Looks the part even though the Viewt is a wannabe and will never be a Jag.

Apologies to Vaud....dunno how I happened across the thread but it caught my eye...I hadn't even clocked the fact it was five years old 😁. Still, if it's a lively discussion, it's a lively discussion - even if it is pickled in aspic.
But it reminded me of the comments I got from some Jag Mk 2 owners when they spotted my Daimler V8 250. Several would sneer "it's not a proper Jag" even though, by common consent, the Daimler was a far better car than the Mk2 2.4 and could give the 3.4 a run for its money.
Quite what those fellas would make of the Viewt I can only imagine.. with some amusement!

I really hate it when people stick a leaper on. Just why?

No worries - it was just an odd first post and the site does suffer from time to time from bots joining and replaying on old posts in order to create profiles.

Daimler V8 250 - nice... smile

Cheers vaud... yes, the Daimler V8 250 I had was a nice motor. Lovely little V8 engine - which I had rebuilt - and I added power steering which was a factory extra from new.

As for the query from another poster ... why add a leaper? Well, in the case of the Viewt, the front end of the car is such a well-crafted mini Jag Mk2 that it would be criminal not to. I'm sure the only reason Mitsuoka didn't do so themselves was to avoid a lawsuit...and the smaller Jag leaper is the perfect size for the Viewt.
