Swapped my little hatch I spent £7.5k on for an MX-5 that cost less than half that and I'm apparently throwing all my money away and being flash. Can't win but I don't care

I got that with my e46 all the time, I paid less than a lot of my friends did with their hatchbacks. It does help to have a clean licence, no accidents and lots of ncb.

Students who i knew had euro boxes worth 4x my car would be shocked when they heard I had a BMW.


Also, my mum would constantly go on about buying that car was a mistake to buy etc etc, even though in 6months of ownership I only bought 2 tyres and 6 months tax, then sold it for £100 more than I paid for it. The cars she approved of cost me thousands in depreciation.
