Said about their fleet of 320d's.
It annoys me that the narrator calls the Audi A4 they have an Audi Quattro, as its not, its an A4 quattro.
They have to sound cool for the dumb people though don't they.

180+bhp is powerful compared to the majority of cars on the road.
Na, I'd say that is roughly average, a 2L 170ish bhp diesel is NOT what I'd consider high powered.

I imagine that the average power of a car on our roads is a lot closer to 100 than 200 bhp.

I've just worked out the average BHP of all the cars I've owned (41 years worth) and it comes to 93.

Reduce that to the last 20 years and it goes up to 124, last 10 years is 147.

Whether or not that says more about me, or the general public, I've no idea.

Surely it means high powered compared to the usual astra diesels?

I suspect the average size and average weight of those cars would follow a similar trend too hehe

This has probably been done to death on here;

Friend took his A class in for a service and got given a courtesy car. He gave me a call and asked if I wanted to go out in it as it was the AMG CLA and "went like the clappers".

Turns out it was CLA 220CDI "AMG-Line" banghead
There was me all excited about getting a go in a CLA 45 AMG

I suppose this is more Mercedes fault than the general motoring public though

"I just got a new M-Sport"

Probably a low powered 1 or 3 series then.

People surely don't actually say that, do they?

I once was told by a friend of a friend that his 320Si M Sport was "between the M Sport and the M3". Whatever that meant I don't know, but he sure thought it was special.

Whatever though, everyone knows S-Line Audi's are one off the RS...! Proper quick they are.

It's not fast, but it is at least a little bit special. I'd say he was right.

Sorry to drag this up but I don't think many forces use 320ds (not as RPU/Interceptor type departments anyway). Some forces do use 325d's but most are 330d. 250bhp and a limited top speed is relatively "high powered" to most of the nation.

I was watching Police Interceptors (or whatever its called) and they were enthusing about a volvo estate that "tops out" at 130, and does 0 to 60 in "under 10 seconds".

So that will be the 1980's of slightly hot then smile
