I'm guessing that you've never actually driven one. They're not overpowered, powerful, yes, but not overpowered. Both my brother's cars were/are remapped to around 250 and 260 respectively, and they handled the power perfectly well.

So I should bargain hard then you think? What should an 08 with lux pack and xenons be worth with 20k on it? Do you think the yellow makes it worth mire as a second hand buy? I quite like the black and the white too.

The yellow was about a £1,500 option from what I remember (well over £1k anyway) but I think it's dated pretty badly, so there's no way I'd pay more, just to have yellow (in fact, with the number of people that got them in yellow from new, it's hardly an exclusive colour). Like you, I prefer the white, the black looks a bit bland in my opinion, it hides the differences between it and a standard Megane.

As for the price, I'd be looking to get as close to £10k as possible if I were you. There are cars priced higher, but that doesn't mean they'll sell for that price.

Would have to be good buying at £10,000 wouldn't it? Might not have the resale or reliability of a type R but would be more fun and better to drive right?

As for the gearshift being average can you buy a shift kit for them?

I don't know about the shift kit, but the only cars I've seen under £10k are older, higher mileage or Cat-D repaired, so £10k would be a good price.

rofl never heard a 2.0T described in this way unless it was a Cossie tuned to within an inch of its life.
I dunno depends on what car it's in.

Oh, and I'm talking UK prices, I've no idea about the Australian market.
