Whilst it's not quite as ugly as the 5-series GT, it's not exactly pretty is it?
In fact there are everyday new cars appearing... but don't they all look more or less similar?!
I think makers could make far less models, far less "new" cars, and just make nice original, good-taste cars, and leave them a bit longer on the market.

Today, you've hardly taken delivery of the car you ordered - and for which you've waited 6 months - and there comes a new improved model; even before delivery of yours!
This is exasperating.
I think makes are committing suicide there.

That rear end is soooo Audi Coupe S from 1977-79. I am saving my money for the new 6-series, esp in 635d format should take the motor from the new 535d Touring with 600Nm torque and 300bhp - twin turbo - will leave this A7 for dead. My six cents

That does not compare favourably with the old CLS. It looks like a brick with a blob of mortar on top.
Agreed...

Thought the Rover 800 established that this doesn't work...

And they're still crap at world wars...hehe

Am I too old by thinking that Audi lost the plot with their "name game" in the late eighties, by calling their estates "Avant" ? - the A5 & A7 Sportbacks are surely the true heirs to the name Avant - the original Avant was a five door Audi 100, see this image - on Audi's own website! |http://thumbsnap.com/hhxr8YKK
I can't believe it was 33 years ago that Audi launched what some may say was a reaction to the Rover SD1, and others may consider a large Passat. More on the original Avant (or Sportback)here http://www.audi.com/com/brand/en/experience/audi_h...

God, I never thought I'd turn into an Audi-anorak...

I'm sorry, I don't see coupe styling. What I do see are hinges at the top of the rear screen so to me ill just refer to it as a 5 Door Hatchback. Much like the current Audi TT and the BMW X6, Seat Leon, all just hatchbacks...much like the old Rover Fastback...hinges/top/hatchback, still a hatchback.

I wonder if they will run out of space in their showrooms for all these various models.

Nah, they only have to stock one car in the showroom to represent the entire Audi range.

The interior looks classy, but unfortunately that's about the only good I've got to say about it.

I want these headlights on an A5 Sportback please. The ones on the A5 atm are too square and bland, and I think with these, the car would look a whole lot better! smile This one reminds me of a Rover 800 Fastback we used to have Not good. The A5Sb on the other hand is really alot nicer than it has any right to be, given that it is an A4 hatchback.

Disappointingly bland. This may be more impressive in the metal, but the A5 sportback was pretty underwhelming when they started appearing in marks and spencer carparks...

Honestly thing the A6 is better looking, if less practical.
Certainly cheaper, and probably will hold value equally well.

The old CLS looks nicer. What is the fascination with this BMW GT-like hump? Now Honda's doing it, too. UGLY.
You make it sound as if they have stolen the looks from BMW, I think you have forgotten the existence of the CRX.

I certainly wouldnt describe a TT as a hatchback, the others yes, but TT is definately a Coupe!
