Why on earth have they produced the MF5 in Wayne Rooney colours?
Doubt they will sell any looking like that (well in Dubai maybe). In normal colours and in the flesh it is nice looking thing - I think these silly colours are just for a bit of publicity - it certainly gets all of PH going as it seems on here lately colour scheme and Audi style interior are more important than minor details like a V10, front engined, RWD coupe.
This and the Lexus LFA are at the top of my dream garage cars, all though i think i would take the V8 for a daily driver :-). Oh come on euro millions this is a beautiful and well engineered master peice if it was made by Morgan everyone would be saying how perfect it is lets give the German Weissman Brothers some credit for their amazing talent and the fact they credit the British Design cues
here such MF5 but then a GT...

thanks for clearing it up!
It's one of those cars that looks totally plastic. I don't know why but when you see one the body shape and curves could never be anything other than plastic. It's one of those odd things. They have copied classic English lines but something just isn't right in the minutae.
It lacks a clarity, a sharpness, cleaness.

I saw one of the older MF hard-top series ones when they were using the 5.0 V8 from the old M5 when I was on holiday a few years back. Parked up outside a very exclusive looking hotel in Florence.
In British Racing Green, with biscuit leather and gunmetal wheels (the old-style ones from BBS).
It looked absolutely, utterly stunning. I'm not such a fan of the rear spoiler, diffuser and vents on this one (not to mention the colour scheme) but the basic shape, lines and proportions are fantastic.
To those who say its a pastiche of traditional British sports cars- true, but it's no different to having a modern house built in the classical style. Just because they take inspiration from the past doesn't mean that they aren't stunning to look at.

And with the wind in the hair, that almighty F1-sounding motor breathing free through a sports exhaust and the neck twanging effect of those tyres digging in and sending the car snarling at the horizon like a rabid wolf, it feels even faster.
...and catching it with a dab of oppo, I was away.....DonkeyApple said:

Dunno where the funny colours come from but they do work on the stylish bodies. Porn on wheels if you ask me.
