Hmmm I would have liked to see that in dark grey with Minilites, but it looks like they don't come big enough.

I love the MF5, different, bit TVR like in essence, but with better build quality. Would love one.

Those of you who think this car is ugly (I am NOT talking about the colour scheme here): You just have not seen it in the flesh yet.

Easily one of the most beautiful cars ever made, fast, fun and then that sound.....

Take it as what it is: a hommage to British roadsters. But instead of dodge electrics and 'garden-shed'-mechanicals, somebody thought to concept thorugh to its end.

It's one of those cars that looks totally plastic. I don't know why but when you see one the body shape and curves could never be anything other than plastic. It's one of those odd things. They have copied classic English lines but something just isn't right in the minutae.

It lacks a clarity, a sharpness, cleaness.
YEP, I agree, Personally I like the look of Beacham E-type

Thats the one for me but with the old M3s S54 engine. Now I wonder if a CSL airbox will squeeze under the bonnet or an ESS supercharger ???

"..... with that deep front grille looking like nothing on the road today....."

You've got to be kidding ..... it could have fallen off an S type jag.

Actually it's quite flattering that the designers think so highly of some of the older British designs.

Love the car though .... well ..... if it was in gunmetal metallic grey with a burgundy leather interior and chrome Borrani wires

wink

I've always loved the Wiesmann (I'll have a V8 instead of the V10 please), but that red-and-white colour scheme is utterly nasty.

While trying to convince my wife we should get an Eagle E-type she discovered Beacham and prefers them. They are very nice, I'm just torn with the idea of fitting the contents of an old XKR into an E-type.

Is this colour scheme an attempt at making a normally lovely looking machine appear like it belongs to Noddy ?
Well im sure Stephen Ireland will be thrilled that there was at least one person in the world who looked at his Bentleys colour scheme and thought 'wow, that looks great, I should do that'

That Bentley is really, really nasty.
No it isn't. It's nastier than that. *Lots* nastier.

I am fortunate enough to drive my Cobra replica 2 or 3 days a week and often get requests for photos, ALL car enthusiasts wave including motorcyclists, it sounds wonderful goes like a rocket and cost me the equivalent of 20,000 pounds and is a true replica of a great 60's car with no 21st century add-ons.

Its a frigging insult to British roadsters.
you're absolutely right there- it has a fantastic engine, handles superbly, it's reliable, and in a decent colour scheme -BRG with tan leather perhaps- it wold look sublime.

yes, it's an insult to the british standards.. spot on.
But its ugly. Gob smackingly ugly. Its vulgar, garish and all melted lines.

There is not a single iota of style or pretty in that design and at the heart of each of the "best" British roadsters was the simple fact that they were extremely pretty.

They were also for the most part fairly reliable because they were extremely simple. Give me a choice between one of these and a Frogeye or an XK120 or a Big Healey and this thing wouldnt qualify as the running joke.
The gecko logo is awesome.

What a nice dilemma to be in, have you driven the Beacham?

looks like Mansory have got hold of the design and coloured it in. nice looking care, maybe if would be better being red with white bits? still too much colour on the interior.

No, I might like it! RG have one but last time I was there it wasn't for sale. They have another one coming in from NZ I think.

In my heart it's an Eagle that I want and I think it will retain/gain value whereas I suspect the Beacham won't in the same way. Eagle seems to be an accepted product within the Socialist Republic of E-Type Fanatics.

Are those heater vents from an Alfa 156?

Really like Wiesmanns, but this colour scheme does absolutely nothing for the car. For a company who supposedly prides itself on the philosophy and execution of British sports car design, where they got the idea for such a garish, vulgar and ostentatious colour scheme is beyond me.

I've always prefered the v12s as the wheel track fills the arches and it looks better to me, the s1s are a little old school for me.

It's my little project to have done in the next 5 years. Will probably go LHD as well as it will live in Italy.

Dunno where the funny colours come from but they do work on the stylish bodies. Porn on wheels if you ask me.
