Finally an impreza without a 747 sized rear wing. Deserves to sell well.

It has been for sale in most other global markets since the last '80s Astra' one arrived in the UK. Some marketing ponce has a lot to answer for.
I know there has been a saloon in the US, but I didn't think a WRX STI was available until Sep this year??

Plasma Blue
STi Spec C Susension
STi Recaros (same as 330S Hatch)
18" wheels

No rear wing for the UK though! (yet wink)
How come that looks so dull compared to the US model? Shame.

But, don't you reckon that's half, three quarters or maybe even almost the whole reason people love them? If you want restrained buy a BMW.

Once again Subaru brought out an Impreza no one was keen on, waited a couple of years and did what they should of done in the first place!

I like them because they're a reasonably good value, capable car, with a distinctive sound. Which 4WD turbo-charged flat four BMW should I consider instead? wink

Looks better without the Wing in the flesh.

£32,995 OTR seems like the price it'll go at.

While you're there, notice the lack of a fast model.

Even more banghead

Looks better in a dark colour with no rear wing yes I don't actually like 4WD turbocharged cars anyway, but it's really nice to see that for people that do like them there's a nice subtle looking option like this yes

Looks the way it should have from the start. Then that awful hatchback would never have existed!

I agree completey, as they were a performance bargain only a couple of years back.

I guess it has something to do with the strength of the Yen at the moment, which is making Japanese stuff either expensive, or is making zero profit for the manufacturer

They probably do have a fast model but in Japan only... much like http://www.modified.com/roadtests/0306scc_subaru_l... that was never released here bar a couple of exotic editions...

Agree with the above, show me the BM with a great engine sound (M5 and M3), affordable spares and consumables (hello M tax, goodbye m3 and M5) and the option to modify easily for power gains (That's none of them). My Sti is the best car I've ever had and fantastic fun on the roads, it just needed a little help in the style department.

You may be right though as I recall Subaru's attempt at refinement - the Sti spec D - didn't sell that well. Not much badge prestige in the company car park for Subaru...
