Be good to see something like this on the roads again.

Reckon, if you ignore the Subaru grill, it's very Evo 8 in terms of shape. No bad thing, but looks mean as hell and with over 300hp no slouch.

Count me in! Sensible 4 door family car done the right way biggrin

Saw many pictures of this in the week.

Hardly sensible (hehe), but I think it looks good.

I disagree, it seems very sensible. Sensible doesn't have to mean slow.

It has been for sale in most other global markets since the last '80s Astra' one arrived in the UK. Some marketing ponce has a lot to answer for.

It's very slab-sided at the rear flanks.

Nope, don't like it.

Looks like the civic type-R saloon only with wider arches and a bonnet scoop.

It's already in UK dealerships - This is our Demonstrator

Plasma Blue
STi Spec C Susension
STi Recaros (same as 330S Hatch)
18" wheels

No rear wing for the UK though! (yet wink)

I prefer it without the rear wing I think.

An Impreza is not an Impreza without a big rear wing... (or a hole in the bonnet or that matter)

Once again Subaru brought out an Impreza no one was keen on, waited a couple of years and did what they should of done in the first place!

Looks better than the hatchback nonsense but still not a scratch on the evo x
Best looking newage Impreza is the hawkeye IMO

I couldn't disagree more. I love it without that stupid rear wing. If I bought one with the spoiler, the first modification I'd make would be to remove it.

Looks good, but is it just me or does it look more legacy sized now?

I know I'm in the minority, but I like the hatchback Impreza. I got a WRX STI for my wife last year and it's a right laugh. If it had the boot, then it wouldn't be the style of car she wanted.

Agree that they should have both in the range though to maximise their potential market, rather than alienating previously loyal customers.
