1300kg and a 400hp 5 pot, to me this is more appealing than an R8, a lot more.

I can't be alone in wanting that car for the engine alone.

Audi are so dull and corporate. Adding an ugly body kit won't change anything. Except it will be a dull corporate car in an ugly bodykit.

How is this ever anything like a Corrado?? The only visual similarities it shares is having 4 wheels!

The Corrado is a cheap coupe and not an ounce a drivers car.

The Audi Coupe is said to be a very limited run car, very expensive and bit more focussed and powerful.

Corrado my ass..

The Corrado VR6 cost around 22k back in 1995, hardly a "cheap coupe", that would be roughly 40k today. I think you will find they were excellent drivers car, and still are.

I agree this is nothing like a Corrado, which had character and personality.

Not read the article yet, but putting it side by side to the original UR just says it all - more generic Audi styling. Pah. frown

I can just see it being owned by a wealthy boy-racer, parked next to his dad's R8.

Question: On pricing, is it competing in the same market as it's predecessor?

Interesting car, but must agree that the front end is ugly. Much better looking:

Ha! The Corrado has finally come of age!

I wish I could just scribble in biro and produce something good to look at. Unfortunately my school reports for art were always grade 1 for effort, and grade 5 for achievementsmile

But its not the same thing, fair bit less power, quite a lot heavier, looks like any other motor on our potholed British highways, my Volvo V70R ticks all those boxes thanks.

Would look even better without the corporate trout pout.
I agree, well spotted!

Too many manufacturers without imagination in this department, it goes to show how brainwashed
we are all becoming to their st front design, it's time they 'all' changed this policy of incorporating the whole corporate front image across the range of vehicles, and made them more individualistic rather than the range of clones we have just now!

Nice car otherwise...

Now I'm an Audi fan, and when I heard they were gonna make a new version of the quattro and were gonna take inspiration from the old car I was dead excited, but i gotta say I'm not really lovin this, maybe it would be nicer in the flesh, who knows ?

I would rather buy a classic quattro like this one and personalize it a bit for the money this new 1 is gonna cost.

This thread resurfacing has reminded of this from last year.....similar mechanical spec but in a all ally RS5 shell.
