This is true, I wonder how many cooking 911's they are selling at the moment?

Very few.

I saw the GTS and thought I would sell my current Carrera S and buy one, but having seen the thing in motion I am not so sure. I am not sure if I like the wheels (the rears seem to sit too far inboard) and it doesn't look sufficiently different from the Carrera. If I am going to buy a new 911 it needs to be exactly what I want, and I am not sure this is.

I might upgrade to a secondhand PDK, but then again I am still really enjoying my manual and being a parsimonious ba5tard I quite like how slowly it's depreciating.

I will reserve judgement on the GTS until I see some non-Porsche footage of it and might change my mind, but at present it is less compelling than it at first appeared.

Whilst an avid Porsche fan, I cant help thinking this is a cynical excerise in plugging a gap in the range that doestn really need plugging. Not when you can option most things to get there in any case.

GTS = lets milk the 997 one last time before the new version.

Don't get me wrong I love the 911 and my gt3 just rocks but i can't help feeling that the release of so many variants just dilutes the brand value a little...
