Indeed... The Vee-Dub's just not controversial enough to generate enough argument. Should've made it a Rover 200 cab. wink

Great shed. Cannot believe it's only £800 seems a huge bargain.

I had one of these a few years ago.
It was the first classic car I bought, and boy did it teach me a good lesson about buying cars, and specifically old cars.
It looked great (had been resprayed black, new hood, lovely wheels) but was a complete lemon.
Turned me off vws for a long time.
Constant problems with the electrics.
Not to mention discovering hidden accident damage, 2 previous colour changes and front suspension parts from 2 unknown VW models.
I made a tidy profit on its resale, mind you.
My next car was a similar era BMW e30 325 sport that didn't once give me a hint of trouble.

Get your head under the bonnet once a month and they'll never let you down...on my 4th...too much fun smile

Insurance £100, exhaust £40, 30-40mpg, complete strangers give you thumbs up on the motorway and petrol stations take ages as they all want to talk about it, oh and it goes up in value not down - which is nice.

Keepin' um standard; daily standard.
