Re: New TVR 'On Sale In 2012' Says Smolenski
Discussion
To put it succintly & rather crudely, this guy is evidently a grade A wker!
He wants to forget about the Wheeler era does he? Ah! smart boy! Let's forget the man who made TVR into a successful company & built some truly legendary cars. His alienation of the British fans who are the core TVR supporters appears to be another example of his stupidity. Yes, this Russian character is a really bright spark isn't he? A marketing genius-NOT. Clearly he isn't the brightest light bulb in the fairy light set is he?

Thing is, if he wants to 'have a look at what he could have won', he just needs to look at Ginetta. Similar kind of car, similar shape, similar road/track ethos, similar history, similar buyer profile. He wants to forget about the Wheeler era does he? Ah! smart boy! Ginetta, however, concentrated on a particular kind of car, honing it, getting thoroughly behind single-marque race series and ensuring they supported high-profile events like the BTCC. Now they're making enough money to buy Farbio.
I wonder if Smolenski saw the same potential in the Tuscan Challenge? If he had we could have been looking at an almighty showdown between Ginetta and TVR, forcing both manufacturers on to ever greater things to compete, but no...
