Did they ever do a crash test on this or the previous car ?
Who's "they"? I somewhat doubt that NCAP have bothered. hehe

Crazy performance for it's weight, wouldn't say no (not many would) to have a go in it.

Being a special model, one has to expect it to stand out some - orange paint etc.
Much prefer in 1 tone colour job

It annoys me when manufacturers overlook the drinks holders...

Will there be a super-supersport to beat that new SSC Aero if it can do what it claims?

Does anyone else think they only did this version as they saw how badly spanked the old version was (up to 200mph) by the Mclaren F1 on Top Gear.

McLaren F1 still the best super car ever. Its Lighter, smaller, better designed and has 3 seats.
Not only is top gear a load of boll0x but Steve also drove the F1 gtr(with the shortened gearbox) not to long ago for Autocar, he described the acceleration in that as savage..... but he's calling the supersport the best car in the world - it's good enough for me.
That's one of my best friends dads' car, absolutely epic! Drives something a little more discreet and mortal day to day though!
what like a helicopter?

Isn't it nick masons car?

This has to be up there with the Keonigsegg supercars as being as dull as dishwater to look at but probably immensely fun to drive.
And I don't believe it can get from 0-200-0-60 in the time it take the McLaren to get from 0-200mph; I thought the McLaren F1 can get to 200 in 26 seconds with a normal Veyron taking 20 seconds to get to 200mph?

Feck, just checked Wiki apparently the SS can do the quarter mile in 7 seconds!

7 SECONDS??
This one is 4 seconds faster to 186, so we can safely presume its 4 seconds faster to 200mph >so that puts it at 16 seconds, which leaves it 10 seconds to brakes from 200mph and reach 60, it can reach 60 in 2.5 seconds so that leaves 7.5 seconds to brake form the original 200 mph.

Do-able?

It's so mind bendingly fast its a whole second quicker round the TG test track than a car built in a shed and designed in the 1950's... rolleyes

I think the Top Gear test in Dubai showed the Bug beating the Macca by quite a margin in the end but i can't be arsed to look it up, the Macca appeared to tear a bug a new one up until 100mph.

This car is a straight 10 for me. If i was this loaded I would already have most of the car's mentioned here.

I dont understand why nobody on here wants to own one of these things? It looks stunning and goes like the proverbial off a shovel....whats not to like? I'm pretty sure its better to drive than 90% of the cars people own on here, so is it jumping on the bandwagon with all the hate?

Who's given it a less than 10 rating?!!!!

Best car in the world as far as I am concerned.
Agree... In this world of eco nonsense, and pussy footing around, the truly nutter, balls to the wall fast thing, with uber luxury is a pleasure to see.

While I agree that "best" is subjective, I keep asking myself - what other car has the same breadth and depth of ability as the Veyron?

I honestly can't come up with a definitive answer, and that's coming from someone who neither loves nor hates the Veyron.

I'd have one if given it for free but even if I was mega rich I would never buy one.

There are plenty of cars that would be more fun to drive and plenty that would be better for luxury cruising. To me it seems like the answer to a question no one asked.

To heavy and 4wd for a supercar, not enough range or luggage space to be a GT.

I also think it looks minging.
