Well, as a bit of thread necrophilia, I found this SoTW article and was surprised to find it was of my car!
I got the car a few months back off the chap who'd bought it in this thread, and I can report that although it just failed it's MoT, (age related things, nothing major) it is still going strong.
It's off the road for a while, so I can fix the MoT points then give it some nice TLC, but once that's all done she'll be a really nice car again.
And it sure looks like a lovely example, the red and tan is a wonderful combination. Glad to hear that things are going well.I got the car a few months back off the chap who'd bought it in this thread, and I can report that although it just failed it's MoT, (age related things, nothing major) it is still going strong.

A bought a GTV 3.0 V6 not long after (same colour) - quite probably inspired by the TG episode.
Holy thread revival. The TG inspired 3.0 V6 GTV purchase -
And the Goodwood FOS inspired 3.2 V6 GT replacement (Mar 2011) -
I'm not sure the replacement will be another Alfa though.

The two best Aflas of the last 20 years, im not sure which other Alfa it would be worth replacing them with (save a 4C)!
Therein lies the problem (An almost Alfa 8C would do ). I think a 156 Sportwagon is up there with the best as well - but too old for me now personally.
The GT replacement (once it's paid me back the money it owes me) will probably be a Boxster or Cayman. Possibly a 3 series of some sort if another child comes along.
