Just browsing the old fleabay and have come accross this, the Ford Capri that was 'built' by Chop Shop for Lawrence Dallaglio yikes

I wonder how many of the other Chop Shop 'Creations' have been cast aside by their 'delighted' owners whistle

That is horrible.

If this is the program I'm thinking of the first (and last!) episode I watched they were cutting down coil springs...

Unfortunately it looks a bit like a slightly suspect copy of an old Mustang and you may as well get the Mustang if that's your bag.

I don't warm to many of Leepu's designs.

Wow!

The attention to detail really is, well, quite st actually...

No wonder he got rid of it!

I don't warm to any of them.

He takes some very nice cars and just butchers them. This Capri for example, the MGB, and the Bentley; all of them were nice cars that Leepu turned into a stter version.

Geeez that is a steaming pile. An interesting program, but I would not be spending money on the design or mechanical modifications.

Yes, does anyone remember the mess that they made of that golf? IIRC they put a Subaru engine and running gear into a Mk2 Golf (good so far) but then Leepu decided to totally ruin it with his so called 'design' skills vomit

I only saw the first episode of that, where they were putting the Subaru lump in etc (which was great). Glad I didn't see the second one now! That design is just awful. vomit

Good comparison by the way hehe

He's a talented guy but he goes for 'unique' and distinctive designs which are way out there. I personally don't get 'em.

I also thought the engineering was often a bit out-dated with the modern demands of a 'super' car.

"here we have up for auction is the 1 of 3.5 v8 ford capri "

I wonder where the other 2 and a half Capris are.

Leepu? I have just started shouting at my TV watching him on Quest. please don't say he made any more than one series? or more than bangalor bangers. The guy struck me as a talentless arrogant idiot and his pro mechanic not much better with the crap he let him get away with.

I was going to say I liked the car a bit until I saw his name involved. But it is pretty unoriginal rear from the side reminds me of the Trans Am spoiler but not the back. It also robs the paint (admittedly also hertz mustang). The intake strikes me as plymouth Cuda/ challenger as do the lights but with a decromed grill.

Compared to some of his other creations, that is actually not too bad. However, compared to anything that isn't the product of an incompetent halfwit, it's atrocious.

Some mad man has actually bid on it, I wonder if this is another fine example of drunk bidding.

There's undoubtedly talent there, just a shame Leepu has the sttest taste imaginable
