OK enough with the stalker comments. If I had waited outside for hours on end then yes maybe but all I did was wait for 20 minutes for a one-time chance to say hello to someone I am a fan of and show my appreciation and congratulate him on his win.

Sorry if that comes across all a bit too much...
You don't sound a bit adenoidal, do you?

I have met a few 'celebs' including Tiff Needell who was a top guy who talked to me for over half an hour on a couple of occasions. Really nice down to earth bloke.
Did you grab Tiff outside Tescos? Just 'happen' to see his motor as well?
No I met him through a friend in London at the MPH show.

Now I do realise that perhaps I caught JP at the wrong place at the wrong time as a lot of you have said he is a nice guy. And the comments about a bobble hat and a Chevrolet jacket?
a) I never wear hats
b) I am not a huge fan of American cars

This thread has turned into a classic PH ccensoredk up.
Yes I agree. Everyone else is wrong and you're right George. You're not a stalker or a weirdo. Most people would hang around freezing launderettes because someone inside has been on the telly and is a good driver. You have my full support. Plato should have worshipped the very (cold) ground which you stood on.

That's a more epic fail than the plato harrassment.

This is far more serious

I would hardly call walking up to someone and saying hello harrassment.
What about taking pictures of their car then lurking around outside a shop for twenty minutes beforehand?
I was going to add the 911 to the bad parking thread, really good numberplates thread and possibly the spotted thread.
Instead though, you just chose to create a thread with the sole intention of slagging him off.

Come on guys enough now..

It's coming across like making fun of a retard...

OP, quietly back away, don't post for a little while and no one will remember you. Alternatively stay here, keep posting and embrace the retard in you. biggrin

I once thought I had seen Tiff Needell. Turned out to be Alan Titchmarsh, or so Mrs.Tunku says. I was drunk at the time.

Have you washed your hand yet George?

Or when enjoying man-time do you imagine, by association, that it is in fact JP who is pleasuring you?

Met another bloke off Fifth Gear a while back at a VMAX, what a miserable he was. No enthusiasm or interest at all, did his bits to camera and fked off.

Just to give you a clue, his name rhymes with "stiff"
Really, quite the opposite experience with me, had a good chat with him and he seemed really interested in the SLK i had with me that day, non std of course,
He felt sorry for you rocking up in a fking SLK. Thought "Poor , better go make him feel better as he's bought his bird's car along."
So just beacuse you had a bad opinion of him you now resort to taking the piss because someone disagrees with you, now whos the sad one ?

George - please tell me the picture in your profile is you.

It would explain a lot.

Taken, ironically, in "Dick Lovett".

TBH, after listening to his 'acceptance speech' at the Toca awards dinner I agree with the sentiment, but seriously OP, he's just a bloke going to get his bloody dry cleaning.

Also, I'd be surprised if you got a different response if you bumped into him in a Toca pit walk, I always try to make an effort but I'm usually in a rush to get somewhere if I'm moving about the paddock... not that anyone comes up to me on the street and says 'look it's the Wookie, that well known BTCC support race mid-fielder' hehe
