I admire the campaign. I will attempt to participate once the winter tyres arrive...

I keep the Atom on the road all yr round.... It's done some -2degree outings in some very icy weather, but I have to admit it wasn't fun. Here's one of me on a very damp / cold Welsh run:

Hopefully this is being delivered later, and I can join in the fun! Only been waiting 10 days for it to arrive.

My car is that frozen I'd worry that opening the roof would break it, what if it refused to close again?

No pics (yet) but this thread appeals to me greatly!

I am particularly proud of this little comment from a fellow PHer whom I met randomly in town:

Your commitment to roofdown motoring is a credit, no matter what the weather its always down. I reckon you could teach those Chim boys a thing or two hehe
Unfortunately the MX5 needs some repairs after my new flatmate reversed a Transit into her irked but she'll be back shortly!

Before someone posts it, here is a picture of me with the roof up in the sunshine.....along with a Griff doing much the same.

I'm sorry, genuinely.

Hang on, with these pics of the cars stationary and empty how do we know that our intrepid reporters didnt drive to the venue with the roof up, lower it, take the photo raise it and drive off again?

So who has a photo of themselves with the roof down looking like a snowman?!

Drove the Spitfire all weekend when I first picked it up on 20th November. Wasn't as cold as it is now but it doesn't exactly have the best heater in the world despite the 'Boost' mode!

Snow's on it's way to Bristol very soon.

I think it might just be time to dig out Sophie's MX5 from under it's cover and plonk the video camera on the back...

Been hooning around in the snow today with the roof down, will get some pictures up later. Great fun!

Just avoid overtaking gritters on the motorway at speed frown

Topless overtaking of a gritter doesn't sound fun

Bring on the winter roof down!

Snap below of the '5 about to set off with other PH'ers towards Stelvio from the Mille Miglia museum, complete with Smurf hat, warm biker jacket & gloves. A common site over the coming winter for members in the South East hehe

Bored? Never, but while Will enjoys towing stranded cars with the Defender (he actually did) we'll be driving roof down smile
You can unbolt the defender roof quite easily, that would be proper British topless motoring!!

(You can also go tow people out!!!)

In true Pistonheads tradition heres my MX5 'Shed', £750 of topless RWD fun! Was well into the negatives when this was taken, got loads of looks driving around, not sure if it was because of the topless action, the fact I was driving past stuck Quattro Audi's or because the thing will only go sideways!
