A note of caution here guys. Dont assume the guy is the driver and the stunner is the tea lady. !

A very good friend of mine ( blonde stunner ) not only drives JCBs, 360 Hymacs and 18 wheelers down to southern Spain and back, she is probably out gritting the roads of the county at this moment.
She also does flower arranging and has terrific painted nails.whistle RESPECT
She makes crap tea by the wayyuck

Why is it that so many small (male) children love diggers and dinosaurs?
What's not to like about diggers?

Drove my first Hymac when I was about four, sat on the operators knee and working the arm/bucket until the thing got so bogged down I had to be removed from the cab so the driver could attempt rescue. still driving them. (This's me from 45 seconds onwards: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgifQoPPevg )

Back on topic, I reckon this is a very clever and practical move by JCB.
  1. Means the operator is more self sufficent - doesn't need to go back to base/site hut to brew up, so less time wasted.
  2. I reckon it will be popular with the operators - in most plant firms, they have a huge say in what gets bought.

I am surprised that this has taken so long for the differ industry to implement.

Pretty awesome.

If you haven't already, get him a Bruder digger for xmas. Got my 2yr old son the Excavator a couple of months back and he absolutely loves it. It's massive and virtually indestructible.
I'm not a child but after seeing their range I quite want one!

I am in the construction game and I would never buy one with a drinks machine.

Firstly the bd stuff will go everywhere in the cab as they will drink it relentlessly, secondly it would be a major "honey pot" on site with all the boys crowding round it, stopping the machine working, dragging their muddy boots through the cab to get at the machine etc etc. Seriously what is wrong with a flask? The hot drinks machine would be mingin within 3 months on site with my boys.

As for owner drivers? Well then its a great option to have...
