Hi, I'm new to the forums. Not wanting to sound too much of an anorak, but its actually a Mk 1 MR2, hence the 1.6 engine. I owned 6 of them, so sadly I recognise the centre console from the interior picture.
I believe it is a stretched AW11 (MK1) MR2 with an JDM EVA 'F40' kit, this was the kit as sold for the standard car:pickledsmurf said:

I had an 1100cc escort with a centre console from a Lotus Cortina, but no one ever thought it was one. However, you could still be right. Looking at the vintage of the car (1989), the window glass and mirrors.

You've got to love the Japanese. That is just great.
I want a hearse variant for when, many years from now, (I hope) I depart this mortal coil!
Take one Truimph TR7, then add:I want a hearse variant for when, many years from now, (I hope) I depart this mortal coil!

is it wrong to like this??In my opinion thats definately MK1 MR2 centre console. Also the interior window trims are mk1b as well as I can see the small speaker grills up in the each top corner. Also the courtesy light is in the right place and look very familar.
The heated rear screen connectors are in the right place for a mk1 rear windows as well (half way up on each side)
If thats not a late Mk1 Mr2 I will be VERY suprised.
