Golf G60 stats
Maximum power 162.2 PS (160 bhp) (119.3 kW)
@ 5600 rpm
Specific output 89.8 bhp/litre
1.47 bhp/cu in
Maximum torque 225.0 Nm (166 ft·lb) (22.9 kgm)
@ 4000 rpm
0-60 mph 8.30 s
Top speed 216 km/h (134 mph)
These are not big figures!
If this is the OP's car then it sounds like its the OP that has something to prove
Yes, no wonder hes burnt off by your average diesel car.Golf G60 stats

Had one about 10 years ago when I made my user name on various sites, although it was not standard then.
Have a 400bhp Mk1 golf, running 4wd now so slight under the 8.3 0-60 times, by about half actually!!! But love peoples assumptions.
Daily driver is a sluggish 350z GT4..

That'll explain why you only bought said G60 last year, according to the Corrado forum.

I am not sure many people would choose to try and demonstrate that they are faster than a 350z, but I have reached a hypothesis
The hypothesis is...Maybe the people in question were in more of a hurry than you!
Why I am working, and driving the diesel I am generally under more time pressure than when driving the Tuscan. So on a mway I am probably wanting to go faster in the diesel than I feel the need to in the Tuscan.

As an owner of both a petrol and a diesel i can confirm the following;
1 - You need to wear plastic gloves before dispensing diesel from the pump otherwise your hands will stink
2 - Petrol is better
3 - Diesel is more economical
4 - Petrol is faster
5 - Many non performance petrol car drivers wished their car was a diesel, they only bought a petrol version because it was cheaper (especially 2.0 non turbo saloon or estate type drivers)
6 - At least petrol does not fart black soot out of the exhaust
7 - With diesel cars you actually need to accelerate
They are both great....

Even if that is you g60. 2 things spring to mind.
a)you splashed cash to buy a modified car to show off with.
b)you get upset when people don't give your modified car the "respect" you seem to think it deserves.
You're not really coming across well there. More small minded muppet with a complex who drives badly, than driving god.
If you were trying to make an impression that made you look good.....you failed here. Just so you know.
