Just thinking that the difference for most is on the boot? They passing you then?
I think we must assume this.

g60 gets overtaken by a diesel. He cannot stand for this and gives them a lesson in "more than 5000 rpm", overtaking them back. Then slows down holding them up. And believes that they are the ones trying to prove something.

That fits perfectly with the attitude he uses to post with....

I've got a diesel but I only have about 3.48bhp so am forced to harrass somecaravan drivers* and Renault 4 drivers.

Having changed in recent days from driving a turbo petrol engine Subaru P1, to a TDI Fiat Punto I feel that I am well placed to appreciate the merits of both engine types. The Punto is much more economical.

He sort of has a point.

If I'm trundling down the motorway at say 67-68, I mostly get passed by 1.9D vag things, girls in small hatchbacks and men in empty MPVs.

Not that this bothers me as I'm just trundling down the motorway, listening to the radio relaxing.

I must admit, I tried to chase a brand new Civic Type-R up a slip road last week in my 123d and got absolutely ruined... In conclusion 200kg less weight and another 3000rpm makes more difference than 10bhp hehe

Remap on the way, then I'll be able to keep up with Porsches hehe

Thats my take on it also. I know it doesnt sound like an Impreza driver but radio 3 on and the rest of the world can carry on regardless. If you want to pass me carry on oldboy, just make it quick and leave an empty road in front of me.;) Nothing better than radio 3 for improving fuel economy!!biggrin

No smoke here until the DPF gets clogged up. I imagine he was more likely laughing at the dirty, roof-rack'd shoebox in his mirror trying vainly to keep up!

Hate to burst your bubble, but that only exists in my mind according to the significantly superior PH guys on here, so FFS do not end up in the cess-pit I have dug myself here for your own sake! smile
