love the look of the LP400 before the wings, skirts and other bits go stuck on its so pure and striking.

I've never been a fan of the body kit on the anniversary, but it's a great car. I too had the Athena white Countach picture. Heavenly.

Good POTW.

Always thought the Countach looked best in red though...

Quite amusing that C&SC run a cover this month about the countach, including a "drive" story in the Alps.. whilst over at Octane magazine this month they have, er.. a cover this month about the countach, including a "drive" story in the Alps..

silly

Great pics though yes

Octane article is great - they use harry whathisname's car of evo fame plus valentino balboni.

I had 6 or 7 giant athena pictures of the countach on the bedroom wall at one point including one with a lovely young lady lying across the rear spoiler. My mum didn't like that one. Anyone remember it?

I'm pretty sure it was this image, but cut out on a black background:

Rick, that is so 80's tastic! Brings back memories of my mates wall posters.

As for the POTW it's brightened up a cold day for me! I'm not sure if I would rather be in the Range Rover (whatever the tracking car is) looking at the Lambo or driving it?

Maybe... both!?

Must be a rig shot as it's sooo low down, no?

Sadly nowadays I am more likely to remark "careful with those high heels young lady, that is EXPENSIVE paint" a few years ago someone would have had to point out to me there was a car in the picture!

The second nicest Lambo ever (particularly the purest LP400) but I have to say that the Miura was prettier.

Oooh, something just happened in my underpants.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foDcLUhUKqI&fea...

I also had the white lambo athena poster on my wall when I was very young.
Its funny how the car is in so many peoples hearts because of this poster!

New wallpaper on my work PC! Great work. Oddly though I think the tracking car is an E46 M3 with the 19" wheel option. I'm probably way out, but it crossed my mind whilst looking at the picture throughout talking to a dull colleague on the phone earlier.

Now that is stunning - the Countach in its purest form and in a lovely colour.

Is there another make of car that is nearly as good at open secene's for movies? I think not, just seeing this pic made me jump on you tube and watch the opening scene to the Italian job and the two cannonball movies. I wish they'd do something for the Diablo or Muci

Great work PH...that is a cracking shot of one of my all time favourite cars. I too had the Athena shot (didn't everyone?) it was next to my Kathy Lloyd yum and Clint 'Man with no Name' Eastwood shoot posters for quite some time, probably longer than they should of! biggrin

I made a statement to lots of folks that I would own two car's one day, I'm really lucky that I have one the other has to be a Lamborghini - I need one now though!

Can we have a black LP670-4 somewhere incredible next week please!
