Nice to see the 2010 model still gets 'foggy' front headlights just like all the others including my own!

Gorgeous car, lovely wheels, but hardly the sexiest name in the world, is it?

N420?

There are big variations between summer tyre types.

My experience is clearly worlds away from an Aston, but I've been unhappy with the Yokohamas on my vRS for a while. In the snow, they've been lethal. Winter tyres aren't a practical option when I can't find anyone to supply them this week, so I'm going for snow socks when necessary and Continental (summer) tyres when not.

Even in a couple of days, the improvement on the Contis is palpable. You still have to drive with caution and it's clearly not as good as if I had winter tyres, but I no longer feel I'm driving a dodgem.

(For the interested, I drive a Mk 2 Octavia vRS. The old tyres were Yokohama S306 and the new ones are Continental Sport Contact 3.)

Sorry to be that guy...

Lovely car. Had the privilege of driving a V8V coupe recently and it is stunning.

I took delivery of my N420 Roadster 2months ago & it's been brilliant, I removed fuse 22 & the noise is stunning!
I have the carbon seats & they are superb but no heating available on these & in this weather the mrs won't let me put the roof down!
I can't wait for better weather to arrive...

I love my V8VR and the sports pack puts up there!
Really looking forward to throwing mine round the Alps in the spring!

Beautiful car! Just out of intrest, wouldn't studded tyres work? The tyres that rally cars usually use. I currently have a tyre place and sell various tyres including winter tyres, the grip is immense! Far better than summer tyres to be quite honest, I always wondered how studded tyres would be like? Perhaps I should ask Sebastian Leob? wink.

From this angle it looks like an S2000. Proof that class is permanent smile

Car & Driver in the US call the V8VR and S4000 smile
I have four S2000's and they are very similar!
For me it was the ultimate upgrade of my last S2000.

Price looks about right to me..
A new one can be had for circa 90k, so an ex press car with 7k for 80ish is spot on..

Definitely not - salt on the wheel, I think.
Never mind that - my understanding of the gibberish on the walls of tyres suggests that that tyre was made in week 36 of 2008, well before the N420 was launched... do Aston press cars come on old rubber? wink
Good spot!

The good folks of Aston Martin European HQ insisted I drove one after they already had sent me on my merry way in a Vantage V12, and a Rapide - yes it's a dirty job but etc bowtie - and it had me laugh out loud as soon as 3000 or so rpm was on the tach and the flapper valve in the exhaust opened. All of the Eifel region must have heard it biggrin I'd be hard pressed to choose between an N420 and a V12V. Both proper, proper cars. thumbup
