On a semi-related note I've always wondered why there aren't more petrolhead types that tweak/sticker their cars up for winter - especially the last two years we've had such heavy snow (relatively speaking). We sticker cars up for the weekend for Le Mans - why not a bit of fun turning your car into a rally "replica" for the winter. Bonus points - any stickers on the paintwork are going to save it getting pounded by grit/salt/ice!

November-February look - winter tyres, small wheels, raised suspension, totally unnecessary rally style light pod, what about a Bond Esprit style ski rack?


And perhaps Stratos in Marlboro livery style vinyl graphics...

Why not have a laugh with winter rather than leaving our pride and joy tucked away for almost 1/3rd the year?

I am curious as to how they pass an mot as the wheel arches do not cover the wheels? If you stick big wheels on a Defender you need to put wheel arch extensions on.
