Recommend me some tyres (195/55 R15)...

Had some Rainsports on one of my old cars and they performed in a similar fashion to Eagle F1's.

A friend took my suggestion for his E39 M5 and also rated them. For the money, tricky one to beat imo.

Just wanted to know how the OP got on with his Uniroyal Rainexperts after deliberating over his choice.

Am thinking of a pair of them for the front of my Zafira (stop sniggering) as an intermediate step towards an all season tyre, without the price premium. Realise that they will not be super duper snow tyres, but not sure I even want to be heading down our hill in the snow anyway, so will probably leave the car if it turns all white again.

Anyone else got any words of wisdom regarding these tyres?

No but after my Kumhos on the Golf GTI proved absolutely useless in the snow, I went to my tyre man who recommended Dexteros. Having never even heard of them, I was dubious to say the least but by god, they went through snow. Now it's summer, they're not bad either.

Very good tyres, especially for the price. Didn't really test them in the snow though.
