The pictures in evo Mag are very good and the car looks great imo.

It's a shame about the price compared to the original Zonda though as this car is out of touching distance for all but the super rich now.

How many people on here would buy one if they were a billionaire? I wouldn't, I'd buy the Noble M600 because I 100% agree with the philosophy behind that car.

The Pagani is more like a beautiful piece of mobile art than a car to drive on UK roads.

I think it's getting better and better each time I see the pics.

And if you have been critical of it in this topic I will not give you a ride when mine arrives!

Sadly, the wrong balls were chosen last night...

If I were a billionaire I'd absolutely have the Pagani over the Noble.

Slightly disappointed how (relatively) conservative it looks after the Zonda which still looks like a pretty wild thing even after all these years. Still love it though.

Love it, sounds bonkers and looks mean. Think i'd prefer the old zonda with the n/a engine but i can't afford either so hardly a dilemma.

This car is a huge 'grower'. Every article I read makes me like it more....

Its the £1 million pound car I would buy, the car I would prefer over the Veyron. The Veyron might be dynamically the better car, but it has the passion of any other VW product for me. the Pagani has the flair and passion of its country of production, and the soul of its single minded creator.

What most people on here need to appreciate is that this car isn't the 'New Zonda'. Its the car Pagani decided to make next. its way more 'grown up'.

My only critism is that it doesn't seem to have a storage space for a couple of small 'over night' bags. Maybe I've missed it? But Horatio, you can't make a 'GT' type car without somewhere to store a change of clothes...

Err yes it does, there are two carbon fiber panniers under the rear clam shell behind the doors just like the Zonda. More than enough space for a weekend away. As a matter of fact they come with custom fitted luggage just like the Zonda

errrrrr, I think the issue myself and many others have is that we all know it's not the "new Zonda", problem is that it looks like one. It doesn't exactly scream "new model" to me, just fat Zonda.
I appreciate that following up the Zonda is a hard job but surely that is more reason to steer away from the Zonda styling, if you disagree then shall we expect all the future Paganis to look like a Zonda in one way or another??
I think they are stuck between a rock and a hard place but other supercar makers manage it.

If I had £1million to spend on a car, the new Pagani would lose out to the Aston One-77.
I still don't like the front end.

"These can be had in two trims: 'standard', which offers 700bhp and 664lb ft of torque, or a 'Sport' version, which will furnish the driver with 730bhp and a truly stomach-churning 811lb ft of torque. That's enough for a 0-62mph time of less than 3.5secs, and a top speed of at least 230mph".

Apologies for being technically dim, but can anybody explain how a torque increase of 147lb ft is achieved with a 30 bhp increase please? Does this then make the Pagani "better" than the Veyron in terms of performance as the Veyron requires (about) 1000bhp to get to 250 mph. Looking again at the pictures, I wouldn't say it is any more aerodynamic? Less if anything. At the top end, would weight be as much of a factor as drag?

I meant the original C12 and C12S which were priced closer to top spec Lamborghinis and Ferraris rather than the now expected 1mil.

Yep they originally started at "reasonable" prices for a hypercar and then rapidly ascended into the stratosphere with each new addition until we got to the "last ever Zonda" (of which there seemed to be about 10, oxymoron?) and then the specially comissioned models which sold for £1m. This new one has started at £850K so I predict as more special editions are realeased over the next few years, it will only be a matter of time until we see the £2m Pagani. Still as long as sufficient amounts of carbon fibre\steel\ostriches\maidens etc have been sacrificed to make these special cars, I'm sure they'll be worth the asking price.

you just increase the turbo pressure around the max. torque RPM, and leave it well alone around the max power RPM..

Thanks, appreciate the answer. Also read through an old BHP v Torque thread which helped.

When making a comparison: (all non Wiki data)

Veyron, 8 litre w16, 1000 odd bhp, 920+ lbft, 1880kg 250 mph
Huayra, 6 litre v12, 730 odd bhp, 811 lbft, 1350kg 230+ mph

All things considered, it looks like the Pagani can proportionately do more with less and will probably turn a profit.

The Veyron now seems a little less "special", but for some reason, if I was given the money, I'd still chose it over the Pagani.

I've just finished the article in Evo and have more appreciation for the car now. I still don't like the front end styling, but appreciate the active aero/air feeds etc.
