Garlick is wearing his car dealer coat today.

Garlick claims he's going to a "meeting in Croydon" later

will somebody please buy it and post up how immaculate and reliable it is, so that I can show the proof to SWMBO and get permission to buy one for myself smile

Just say it's a mates car and buy it yourself - or just buy it and deal with the fallout later smile

If I wasn't so skint at the moment I'd buy it right now. Hmmm...

Waiting for a spoilsport know it all to come on here and tell us all it'll cost ££££'s to fix the various foibles.

Hmm...now If I sell my new iPhone...

Pity it has a disabled gear box. Bargain otherwise.

You really wouldn't want a manual

Those electric aerials aren't cheap to fix and they're a bugger to get to...

getmecoat

blinding buy - I'd be up there buying it myself if I had some room on the drive. Only issue with those straight 6s was head gasket around 100k miles, right?...

This is 10 miles from me, so if it's "too far" for anyone, you know, I could always pick it up and deliver it.

Possibly six months after the sale, but it'd get delivered eventually!

What a great shed for the money.

Did Merc even do a manual for the 300 CE-24?

Pretty sure they did. Mercedes always used to offer everything in a manual even though no one in their right mind would buy one

There is nothing seriously wrong with this car. The aerials are £20 for a new mast and very easy to fix. Even if you spent £1,500 on it, it would be seriously good value. I can't think why I am not going to buy this.

Got to love old mercs. I'd have that.

They new ones do nothing for me though.

Stonkingly good shedding, Do you reckon he'd swap it for a broken currently being repaired MR2?

Damn right nutty boy smile

Just googled, apparently the manual is a rare 5 speed geartrag effort and much sort after.

A '94, 125k, 320 coupe-owning mate of mine this week just discovered a burnt out exhaust valve on his, so that involved a new set of valves, head re-skim and new head gasket - 1,200 notes in all. Gulp. Still hasn't fallen out of love with his, though.
