Couldn't ever endorse that so I'll leave it others to make a recommendation.
Which bit? The upfront position or the forward facing seat?

I need a new car seat for my 16month old. She's a little over 10kg but quite tall for her age. She can't fit in our rear facing.

I need her to forward face in a front seat in my van. Its 3 across the middle so needs to be fairly narrow. Are there any seats that may be suitable?
Does your van have 2 point isofix on either of the passenger seats? I'm guessing not.....

How many people will be in it? How many seatsbelt do you have?

Anybody able to offer advise on a group 3 seat for an XC90, my parents have just bought one. I tried the Recaro Young Sport I have in it and hated the way the top of the seat was sat on the headrest with a big gap behind most of the back of the recaro.

Swedish manufacturers tend to do that with head restraints to make them more effective for adults even if they haven't been properly adjusted.

I would try removing the head restraint, or putting it on its highest setting, and seeing how the child seat sits then.

I'd expect the manual for the car to suggest solutions, but they may simply tell you to use a rear facing seat....

The headrests don't appear to be adjustable, removing them seems to require some fiddly removing of trims and bolts rather than the usual slide out. There is an integral central booster, but that has nothing to stop them slipping laterally.

Anyone come across this, or found a solution? Thought this was a good place to ask.

I absolutely hate rattles in the car, we have bought the pebble plus and it has the same issue as in this video.

Was one of things I hated about the Britax we had.

Only make I found that didn't rattle was BeSafe but that was the next group up.

Possibly one for Boobles if he ever still looks in.

The Britax fit finder doesn't list a particular seat for one of our cars (First Class plus, Kia Rio 2013 current model). Is this likely to be because it doesn't fit or that it hasn't been tested.

We would take the car to check at a retailer before buying, but are we wasting our time with this seat?

The car has quiet sloping rear seats and we are finding it difficult to find a newborn seat that isn't too upright once strapped in (Baby's head flops forward).

We have ordered a Nuna Rebl

http://www.madeformums.com/reviews/car-seats/car-s...

Isofix, reclines nicely and swivels. The newborn insert for added protection as well.

I would suggest trying one in your car.

I would suggest you call Britax customer services on 01264 333343.

They can explain your options.

We've had ours for a week, it's great. The swivelling makes things so much easier. Wish we'd bought one from birth tbh!

Had one from birth. TBH it seemed a little too big for her, even with the inserts, from birth but at 6 weeks it's looking good. Safe and convenient. Love it

Can anyone advise on a rear facing, seat-belt mounted seat for my 14 month old daughter? She is very tall, but only 10kg. It is to fit in an e39, so space isn't really an issue. Any help much appreciated.

so am gonna be a first time parent next year and am stumped on carseats v travel systems.

is it better to have a dedicated car seat and a separate buggy or are travel systems as good?

any advice gratefully received.

We went for dedicated car seat (Maxi Cosi Cabriofix + Easybase) and a separate buggy (Baby Jogger City Mini) and matching travel cot for both of ours, and really pleased with all of it. About £450 all told IIRC.

We got adaptors so we could use the seat with the buggy too (making it a travel system) but only used them about twice with the first and not at all in the 6 months we've had the second. Issue we found was that the car seat with baby in it is heavy and bulky, so ended up leaving it in the car and using the buggy separately. Also you're not advised to leave a young baby in a car seat for hours at a stretch, so you'll have a separate travel cot bit for your travel system that will involve transferring the baby over anyway.

For what it's worth I wouldn't bother with a full blown travel system but I'm sure there are plenty of good ones out there.
